In this role, you will get to:
Play a leading role in the development and application of predictive models across the entire credit life cycle.
Conduct continuous research aimed at identifying predictors and enhancing model development practice and techniques.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of scorecard strategies.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Degree with Stats/Math/Applied Maths/Financial Risk Management/Data Science/Engineering/Computer Science or related disciplines
An Honours / Masters would be advantageous
Understanding & knowledge of predictive modelling practices, performance standards & methodologies
Minimum 3 years’ experience developing credit risk scorecards
R or Python proficiency, one of the two languages is compulsory

The My Old Mutual team is a dynamic division within Old Mutual Limited, which seeks to drive digital engagement with customers by being at the forefront of digital development and innovation. Old Mutual’s longstanding history and unquestionable success in the financial industry, provide a solid foundation for expansion of its digital platform. The team applies customer-focused design thinking, agile and lean development methodologies, and continuous delivery practices.
The Mobile App Technical Lead is responsible for leading the development of high-quality designs and solutions. This role requires participation in technical designs and the development and maintenance of software and other digital applications or services. The incumbent will be expected to create prototypes, develop user-centred software, and advise on technical specifications. This role requires fundamentals in engineering practices, an analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving, while following DevOps, SRE and Cloud Based practices.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Responsible for taking the lead on software development initiatives throughout the software development life cycle
Follow Agile methodologies (SCRUM / Kanban)
Work in a DevOps culture
Partner with scrum master and product owner to ensure optimized project delivery
Provide sizing and scoping for development work required
Operate as a subject matter expert across the development initiatives
Develop technical specifications and software application architecture and designs

Senior Scrum Masters are leaders, facilitators, and coaches for an Agile Team. Leads a team in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe principles, ensuring that the agreed Agile practices are being followed. Senior Scrum Masters leads and facilitates the removal of impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
Senior Scrum Master’s primary responsibility is managing the self-organizing, self-managing team achieve its goals. Scrum Masters do this by facilitating, teaching, and coaching team practices, implementing and supporting SAFe principles and practices. Senior Scrum Master empower the team to coordinate with other teams in the programme.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED FOR THE JOB)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Information Systems.
8 – 10 years’ experience in project/software delivery.
Familiarity and experience in Agile/Scrum/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Certification as a Scrum Master Certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master or Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) desirable.
Knowledge of Kanban/Lean desirable.
Knowledge and experience in using tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro and TFS.
Knowledge and experience with typically used Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, etc.
