    Associate Legal Manager

     

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Managing relationships with key executive subsidiary business partners and stakeholders by clarifying partner intentions and needs, translate into relevant legal topics, advises resources to address legal issues and needs
    • Providing subsidiary legal counsel by assisting in defining issues, gathers pertinent information/legal background, formulates and provides recommendations, brings additional legal resources to bear as vital
    • Assists in clearance of advertising and sales promotion materials;
    • Customizes global/divisional contracts and templates for local legal requirements
    • Preparing and advising on corporate communications and related requests to ensure compliance
    • Monitoring government agency and industry associations for issues/concerns pertinent to CP; attend legal committees of local industry associations
    • Supporting local corporate governance related activities, filings, legal status
    • Providing support for legal HR administration at the local level
    • Responding to legal challenges, coordinating litigation related activities, e.g. involving Outside Counsel, Division or Corp Specialists; recording items in databases as required
    • Assists with risk and crisis management
    • Assist and provide support for internal and external audits and remediation actions
    • Maintain all appropriate databases, all companies record up to date using company available repository tools on a timely manner and reporting back
    • Managing external legal counsel whenever required including setting out and controlling spend including timeous spend management on company repository tools
    • Conducts training workshops on legal matters

    BRAND PROTECTION/ANTI-COUNTERFEITING

    • Responsible for helping to develop regional and local strategies (country specific) plans in the field of Brand protection
    • Accountable for managing all brand protection related work (including investigations, raids/sweeps, border protection work, law enforcement trainings, civil litigation, criminal prosecutions) in the hub
    • Coordinating the work of consultants, investigators, and outside counsel; working closely with law enforcement, and working as a key liaison among key stakeholders, including the BPU, the division and all involved subs/hubs
    • Seek mentorship when required
    • Timely reporting back including but not limited to filling internal reporting tools ensuring transparency in all efforts

    Required Qualifications 

    • A Bachelor's degree Law degree or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of post admittance experience in South Africa in a commercial, litigation and marketing legal role with operational experience
    • Experience in Drafting and vetting of legal documentation
    • Experience with FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and anti-bribery best practices.

    CDT Pricing Analyst

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance of Customer Pricing Data Bases in respect to South Africa
    • Preparation of documentation for List price changes, obtaining the Necessary authorizations and information for the Budget and estimate reviews.
    • Allocation of the required pricing data for product and customer master data fields
    • Enforcement of the Approved Pricing Policies
    • Accurate storage of pricing data in line with required guidelines
    • Investigation of every pricing discrepancy relating to customer order entry with the rectification and prevention thereof.
    • Customer visitations in respect to keep the customer price and product master data in alignment with SA price and product master data. 
    • Assist in delivering the company DSO targets 
    • List price Maintenance both local South Africa as well as Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland
    • Financial reporting 
    • Pricing Credit notes to investigated and authorized or rejected with the objective created to minimize the reason for the creation 
    • Checking and updating of product master data to ensure pricing fields are updated and correct.

    Required Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as Pricing Administrator in FMCG environment
    • Proficient in SAP, Excel and Google Sheets skills.
    • Excellent analytics and problem solving skills.
