• Compile business understanding documents and flow charts.
• Develop and utilise a sound understanding of business processes, risks and controls including relevant regulatory and accounting issues.
• Identification of process, information and control gaps and seek additional information if necessary.
• Ensure that audit work and associated information generated is accurate, valid and comprehensive prior to review and/or reporting.
• Documenting findings and discussion with client in terms of factual correctness – asks for support where necessary.
• Draft and discuss own findings for inclusion in audit reports.
• Take responsibility to clear and finalise all own reported findings/reporting points.
• Review own working papers for quality and completeness before sending to Audit Manager for review.
• Ensure all review queries are cleared within a reasonable timeframe (expectation 48 hours).
• Focus on problem solving/high risk areas during the audit.
• Communicate any delays or difficulties experienced for corrective action.
• Track audit process status for allocated areas of responsibility and effectively communicate any anticipated challenges, delays, etc.
• Communicates knowledge gained throughout the audit engagement and/or otherwise with the team members.
• Assist in developing continuous control monitoring, auditing and automation.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and upskilling programmes.

Other

Your expertise:

• 4-6 years related IT security experience and a minimum of 4 years in penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and application security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite).
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical information clearly.
• Expertise in information security auditing, including operating systems, networks, and firewalls.
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Basic insurance knowledge (an advantage).
• Sound understanding of IT, data and privacy related legislation and regulation.
• Stakeholder engagement (client interviewing).

Data Integration & ETL Development:

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop and optimize SQL scripts and stored procedures for data manipulation and integration tasks.

Database Management:

• Support the maintenance and optimization of databases to ensure data integrity and performance.

Web Development:

What you’ll do:

Strategy and Planning:

• Support the Data Analytics Manager in developing an audit/advisory plan.
• Deliver on the internal audit strategic objectives, specifically those involving continuous auditing and monitoring, as well as data-driven insights and reporting.

Operational/ Technical:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the overarching risk universe, processes and associated internal controls, issues, pertinent regulations and risks associated with the engagement scope.
• Arrange access to data sources and secure receipt of data files from the business via multiple channels.
• Creation of a data dictionary including definitions and availability (where appropriate).
• Build and maintain common data sets regularly required by audit delivery teams.
• Assist with data cleaning and preparation for audit delivery teams.
• Build and maintain a library of re-usable automated auditing programmes and functional specifications.
• Develop sustainable and re-useable Data Analytics models, programs and dashboards to improve the efficiency of Group Internal Audit and to improve audit coverage.
• Support audit delivery teams with the development of complex/insightful data analytics tests.
• Prepare data analytics audit programs that are aligned to the Risk and Control Matrices of the assigned audits.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of data used in analytics projects.
• Execute data analytics fieldwork using relevant tools such as Python and SQL.

Your expertise:

• Minimum 5 years of data analytics experience, preferably within an internal audit or financial services environment.
• Proven experience with Python for Data Analysis, Automation and Machine Learning.
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, etc.).
• Financial services knowledge and/or experience, with insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Advanced understanding of database structures.

What you’ll do:

• Servicing and general maintenance of UPS units, batteries, inverters, fire suppression systems according to Health and safety standards 
• Ensuring UPS installations are safe and ready to be commissioned, then performing correct commission steps as per the UPS OEM Commissioning Procedure 
• Ensuring that UPS units are installed according to exact requirements and regulations meeting ruling Electrical Installation Regulations 
• Repairing damaged units using manufacturer’s standards and spare parts 
• Testing all UPS units before leaving working as follows: mechanically no damage, inverter set at correct voltages, rectifier correctly calibrated, switches between static and inverter without dropping the load, UPS Runs off battery (Mains fail test), Load test the UPS and ensuring that battery charging parameters are set right 
• Attending to client UPS issues as and when requested 
• Performing additional work outputs related to the role
