    Creditors Clerk (Cape Town)

    Job Description

    The Creditors Clerk will be responsible for management of the creditors function, ensuring that duties in relation to accounts payable are carried out to the required standards to achieve the company’s financial business objectives. To maintain good relations with the suppliers and ensure timely and accurate information is being captured into Pastel to ensure informed and accurate decisions.

    Job Requirements:

    • Check invoices and get authorization
    • Capture invoices and credit notes on Pastel
    • Communicate with suppliers to ensure disputes/errors are timeously resolved
    • Preparation of monthly reconciliation statement to age analysis
    • Preparation of creditors detailed ledger accounts to statements
    • Clearing of queries on monthly reconciliations
    • Loading of payments
    • Completion of remittances for the payment run
    • Sending remittances to suppliers and filling thereafter
    • Ensure that all deadlines are adhered to

    Journals

    • Capture and reconcile credit card statements monthly
    • Capture and reconcile weekly printing logs and pool car log books
    • Capture and reconcile petty cash monthly
    • Deal with day to day supplier queries
    • Capture salary recharges

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have good knowledge of reconciling accounts
    • Pastel knowledge
    • Good communication skills and ability to be firm yet tactful
    • Computer literate
    • Good capturing and accuracy skills
    • Ability to work in a team as well as on your own
    • Good timekeeping and organizing skills
    • Deadline driven
    • Attention to detail
    • Effective problem solving ability
    • A strong sense of accountability and a good work ethic

    Project Coordinator

    Job Description

    • The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for among other things, the effective co-ordination and administration of short course, skills programmes and learnerships across various NQF levels.
    • Maintain accurate learner records - update data as needed to reflect changes in learner progress
    • Capture and process assessments and results
    • Follow up on outstanding assessments
    • Prepare learner progress reports and communicate reports to stakeholders
    • Maintain accurate filing systems
    • Print & collate training material and related administrative documents for programme delivery
    • Co-ordinate class schedules and prepare training venues
    • Ensure travel and accommodation arrangements for facilitators and project team
    • Ensure all communication to all stakeholders are clear and unambiguous

     

    Job Requirements:

    • A tertiary qualification and/or previous work experience within an academic environment would be
    • advantageous
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Highly systematic and organized
    • Advanced MS word and MS Excel Skills
    • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Excellent co-ordination skills
    • A strong sense of accountability
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • A strong work ethic
    • Excellent communication(written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    • Effective problem solving ability
