• Maintenance of Instrumentation and related equipment.
• Install, inspect, calibrate, service and maintain instruments up to and including component level.
• To interpret engineering design drawings, check for elementary errors and manufacturability and compile Bills of material for purchasing materials needed for maintenance and installation.
• Install and maintain instrument field devices.
• Testing of the modules and loop checks.
• To maintain safe work procedures (monthly SHE inspection).
• To inspect, service, repair and overhaul field devices and ensure that machines are kept in good running conditions.
• Basic PLC programming skill (Siemens)

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• National Diploma Industrial Instrumentation.
• Good insight in the step-by-step operations of machinery & processes.
• Good knowledge & understanding of field devices used i.e., sensors, level sensing, pressures, temperatures, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good fault finding and trouble shooting skills
• Be available for standby duties and overtime when and as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all daily activities and operations in the respective plant.
• In conjunction with the production planning section, prepare and manage production schedules. This includes all resources; material, components, facilities, Labour and equipment.
• Manage, monitor and report production against the Master Production Schedule and participate in risk mitigating actions. The Plant Manager must raise early warning of any risk related to delivery deadlines.
• Set and manage the operational overheads and Labour budget / forecast.
• Control and monitor direct cost of manufacturing.
• Provide inputs and motivations to the CAPEX budget.
• Communicate, monitor and ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and SHEQ systems, standards & procedures.
• Recommend, motivate and manage process and equipment changes via the official modification process and Engineering Change Proposal. Co-ordinate the plant modification initiatives.
• Resolve plant down-time through risk evaluation and task prioritization with the engineering section.
• Accountable for HR related problems which cannot be resolved at supervisor level. Ensure that performance contracting is maintained as per HR procedures and deadlines.
• Maintain discipline and comply with company policies, practices and procedures.
• Support company vision and value system and ensure calibration throughout the team.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• BSc./B-Tech Degree (Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering) or relevant NQF 7 equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Production / Manufacturing  with at least 2 years within a supervisory role.
• Experience on Heat treatment is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Precision or Automotive industries an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, good judgement and a decision maker.
• Ability to communicate and operate at a Senior Level.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Must be prepared to work irregular hours.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• The Senior Software Engineer, is responsible for: interpreting requirement specifications of products and subsystems associated with the development of software / firmware for all products, including guided products, Fuzes, & SADs, and other products.
• The incumbent is also responsible for developing conceptual designs according to relevant standards and providing guidance with respect to specific software engineering aspects to a multi-disciplinary team involving scientists, engineers, technicians. Based on international developments and new/future requirements, the Senior Software Engineer shall provide input to future technological and technical demands and assist in establishment of capability (know-how & facilities).
• Develop embedded and application software.
• Develop UI/UX interfaces.
• Participate in peer review of code, design and documentation.
• Follow international and in-house standards for the software development life cycle.
• Prepare documentation (eg. Requirements and testing) for verification of software.
• Integrate software for embedded systems.
• Fulfil the role of Technical Authority on software / firmware design, development and testing as part of the development team.
• Design and test software / firmware in collaboration with electronic and mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Design of embedded system hardware, and PCBs.
• Provision of a software engineering service (analysis / design / testing) across several projects or functional groups.
• Ensure design and technical conformance of software to technical requirements.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Post Graduate Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering would be advantageous.
• Proficiency programming in C or similar.
• Proficiency programming in Microsoft Studio or similar.
• Familiarity with TMS processor environments or similar.
• Proficiency in Matlab/Python would be advantageous.
• At least 5 years' experience in a product / software development environment.
• Formal training in Systems Engineering or Project Management would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects related to the Reload, Ball Powder and Chemical Sales Orders;
