    Administrator SHE

    ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient administration at Sasol Mining SHE Department

    • Responsible for general area / department and is the team’s expert in methods and tasks efficiencies

    • To assist in ensuring effective office administration, document control and Environmental Management reporting within the established governance framework

     

    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    Deliver on time and within required standards.  Deal with immediate and relatively short-term issues with procedural routine thinking challenges.

    Administrator SHE Legal & Enablement Support

    Short Description / Purpose of Job
    The purpose of this job is to provide effective legal compliance-, governance- and enablement- administrative support to Sasol Energy and Chemicals SA OMEs.

     

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    Legal compliance support
    •    Manage and execute all requests submitted to the legal appointment inbox for SHE legal appointments according to structural changes in the relevant Hub.
    •    Ensure that legal appointment templates are up to date and available for use in collaboration with Snr Specialist SHE Regulatory Enablement.
    •    Establish relevant Hub SHE legal appointment register with compliance detail in collaboration with Snr Specialist SHE Regulatory Enablement.
    •    Coordinate the administration of legal appointments, typing of appointment letters, quality checks, and obtain all signatures to ensure loop closure for legal appointments.
    •    Coordinate reporting and record keeping of SHE legal appointment reporting to authorities (e.g. GMR 2(1) proformas to DEL).
    •    Assist the Snr Specialist SHE Regulatory Enablement to establish, update and maintain the Hub SHE Compliance risk management plans and controls.
    •    Administer the inclusion of legal update information to business SHE Compliance risk management plans in terms of Compliance risk management plans business processes in collaboration with Snr Specialist SHE Regulatory Enablement.
    •    Capture SHE legal non-compliance findings in relevant business SHE non-conformance system and follow-up on status of corrective and preventive actions determined by the business SHE departments and other business partners.

    Governance support
    •    Collect information from relevant stakeholders to enable the Snr Specialist SHE Regulatory Enablement to track progress on the business SHE game plan and focus areas.
    •    Assist with the administration to review and update SHE policies, procedures and work instructions, plot plans to ensure that accurate information is available.
    •    Understand the balanced view of SHE scorecards, track and update the departments SHE scorecard on a monthly basis.
    •    Initiate and coordinate departmental initiatives such as competitions, team building etc.
    •    Ensure that work and project plans meet the technical and professional objectives.

    Enablement support
    •    Participate in user acceptance testing of new or improved enabling technology developments in collaboration with relevant role players.
    •    Assist in the uploading of business-specific data during implementation of SHE enabling technology such as SharePoint, legal registers.
    •    Manage SHE requests via the SHE RES inbox or request tool.
    •    Provide systems administration support relating to IMS, Risk, Non-conformance system and legal appoint tool as per authorisations.
