    Maintenance Supervisor: Mechanical and Facilities

    Responsibilities

    Artisan Performance:

    • Effectively deploy artisans to expedite the repair of plant breakdowns.
    • Conduct thorough quality assessments on equipment repairs and ensure timely closure of job cards.
    • Cultivate, motivate, and lead teams to achieve optimal performance and productivity.

    Root Cause Analysis:

    •  Investigate breakdowns and equipment failures to identify root causes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.

    Maintenance Optimization:

    • Work closely with maintenance teams to develop, implement, and refine maintenance  strategies  that  align with industry best practices to minimize downtime.
    •  Monitor and analyze maintenance processes to identify areas for improvement.

    Predictive Maintenance

    • Assist the Reliability Supervisor in implementing predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to proactively identify potential issues and mitigate risks.

     Quality:

    • Implement and enforce housekeeping practices to uphold a high standard of work quality.
    • Lead daily discussions on performance and safety to analyze equipment performance, identify trends, and enhance plant reliability.

    Spare Parts Management:

    • Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of critical spare parts, thereby minimizing equipment downtime.
    • Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage and inventory levels.

    Employee management and development:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures and policies across the team.
    • Define clear job profiles for all team members and regularly review goals to assess achievement  of results.
    • Provide ongoing support, coaching, and mentoring to ensure objectives are met.
    • Develop individual development plans for each employee to support their career growth.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
    • Communicate team events and activities effectively to ensure everyone is informed.
    • Ensure adequate succession planning to meet ongoing and anticipated business needs.

    Health and Safety

    • Participate in safety forums and attend relevant training/programmes
    • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
    • Comply with safety policies and procedures
    • Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

    Requirements

    • N4 or equivalent
    • Qualified and trade tested mechanically
    • BTech Mechanical or equivalent (advantageous)
    • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in an engineering or a similar role in an industrial setting
    • Production background (advantageous)

    Retail Account Co-ordinator

    Responsibilities

    • Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Develop and present management with reports that highlight key insights and recommendations.
    • Serve as the primary contact for the retail segment distribution centre of the customer
    • Ensure on-time and in-full delivery, in-stock availability in stores and distribution centres, and correct pricing within the customer's operational side
    • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to manage and optimize sales operations.
    • Work closely with and support the Retail Key Account Manager and National Sales ManagerMRP Planning: Take internal and external sales data to provide sales forecasting for the business, as well as measure the performance of the forecasting.
    • DC SOH Reporting: Check orders placed on low stock levels or products out of stock (OOS) and inform planners on which lines to order.
    • Service Level Reports / Market Share Reports: Generate and analyse report
    • Follow up and reporting of information to external stakeholders
    • Liaison with buyers relating to stock levels
    • Keep relevant planning department up to date on OOS products and back-in-stock dates to place orders, then follow up on these dates for the orders.
    • Provide replenishment dates for OOS lines to assist planning
    • Responsible for the tracking of all orders

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent, coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification
    • Proven experience as a Sales Business Analyst or in a similar role
    • Strong proficiency in Excel
    • Computer Literacy in MS Office Suite
    • Relevant working experience in data analysis, reporting and forecasting

    Team Lead: Inventory

    Responsibilities

    • Stock Accuracy minimizing stock adjustments
    • Manage Stock Levels ensuring external warehouses have sufficient stock
    • Stock take reconciliations
    •  Audit stock movement
    • Documentation for all movements in and out of external warehouses
    • Coordinate Sales, Quality, Finance and Logistics
    • Stock code transfers
    • Data validation and analysis
    • Sales Orders and Delivery notes and returns
    • Distribute stock from external suppliers not packed by Southern Oil

     Employee management and development

    • Ensure overall compliance to relevant procedures and policies
    • Ensure that all team members have clearly defined job profiles
    • Regular goal reviews are completed to assess achievement of results
    • Support, coaching and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met
    • Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands
    • Ensure adequate succession planning in order to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirements

    Health and Safety

    • Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
    • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
    • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
    • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
    • Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
    • Distribute safety information as and when required
    • Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience

    • A tertiary qualification in Warehousing, Supply Chain Management/Cost Accounting or related (preferred)
    • SAP Experience highly recommended
    • Computer literate in MS Office packages
    • Previous stock Management experience essential
    • At least two years’ relevant working experience coupled with supervisory experience

    Warehouse Administrator External

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all related capturing of data and processing thereof – items include but not limited to invoices, COA’s, trip sheets, stock transfers, sample requests, inventory
    • Responsible for relevant payment allocation and administration thereof
    • Assist walk-in clients where applicable
    • Assist with telephonic queries
    • Responsible for ensuring sufficient stock levels
    • Responsible for stock takes
    • All administrative duties relating to stock
    • Assist with cycle counts and spot checks
    • Managing SAP
    • Responsible for various reporting – daily, weekly and monthly
    • Responsible for all rework and related administration
    • Housekeeping

    • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous

    Weighbridge Team leader

    Responsible for all relevant administration

    • Maintain the shift roster and shift changes
    • Management of team PPE requests
    • Compile relevant required reports
    • Responsible for the drafting of procedures and SOP’s

    Responsible for relevant control measures    

    • Check relevant controls for deviations
    • Conduct monthly spot checks to ensure that the functions performed by the Weighbridge Administrators are up to standard

    Incident reporting and investigation

    • Responsible for the investigation and reporting incidents 
    • Provide support to other departments pertaining to investigations
