    Financial Services Advisory (FSA): Capital Team: Trading Risk: Manager/Senior Manager

    Job Description

    Main Purpose of Job

    To lead client engagements in the trading risk environment, including e.g. traded market risk, counterparty credit risks, etc.  Such client engagements / projects may include current state assessments; model reviews and validations; solution / model design, build and implementation – both with respect to the bank’s management needs or regulatory requirements.

    To lead the development and use of tools such as calculation engines and client solutions used for risk quantification and management in terms of the above risk types.

    Administration and management of client engagements, as may be required from time to time, e.g., preparation of proposals, tracking of budgets, internal risk & independence processes, etc.

    Willingness to travel internationally to support client engagements across e.g., UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia, subject to prevailing travel restrictions.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications & Experience required

    You would need to have the following qualifications and experience:

    • CA (SA) or Degree/ Honours/ Masters in Quantitative Risk Management; Actuarial Science or Financial Mathematics (Compulsory)

    • Started or completed studies towards CFA, PRM or FRM for CAs and Financial Mathematics candidates (Preferable)

    • Work experience in the treasury or trading risk environment of a bank (Required)

    • Work experience with respect to the latest prudential (Basel) regulatory requirements in terms of trading risk (Preferable)

    We are looking for skills and experience in any of the following areas (preferably 5-10 years of experience).

    • Market risk

    • Counterparty credit risk (CCR)

    • Credit valuation adjustment (CVA) risk

    • Fundamental review of the trading book (FRTB)

    • Standardised approach to CCR

    • Regulatory reporting

    • Modelling capabilities (e.g., Python, VBA, SAS, Matlab, C# etc.)

    • Trading / risk systems experience (e.g. Murex, FIS, Calypso, Algo, etc.)

    • Valuation of financial instruments

    • Front office, Middle office (e.g. product / valuation control) or Risk experience

    • Experience in risk measurement and analysis in terms of all standard risk metrics (sensitivities, stress, VaR and tail metrics).

    • Governance and controls, policies and procedure documentation.

    Job Description

    Main Purpose of Job

    • The Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Leader works with the Deloitte Africa Leadership team to design, develop, implement and monitor the firm's Transformation and D&I strategies in alignment with the firm’s global D&I strategy and the Africa business strategy. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the D&I strategy across East, West and Southern Africa and drives locally relevant, leading-edge diversity and inclusion initiatives that:

    • Strengthen our inclusive culture

    • Increase and support women in leadership

    • Work toward diverse representation in our workforce

    • The D&I leader partners with champions across the organization to enhance our D&I vision and provide advisory support to the business on internal and external best practices, principles and processes

    • This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance and optimal performance against the Employment Equity legislative requirements and B-BBEE Scorecard in South Africa
