    Key Account Manager

    Job Description

    •  Manage Baking and related accounts. Commercially, relationally and technically.
    •  Utilising the full basket of Danisco resources to maintain and grow sales to selected clients.
    •  Provide high level commercial and technical support to customers in relation to the use and application of N&H solutions, both reactively and proactively
    •  Use value propositions as laid out in the EMEA bakery industry plan for the promotion of N&H solutions.
    •  Liase with Innovation to provide up to date ingredient, application and solution knowledge to customers.
    •  Protect exiting business by solving ad hoc technical issues with N&H solutions at customers.
    •  Scout for new opportunities at customers.
    •  Involvement in 5 year regional strategic planning for the region
    •  Feed market information to business to support innovation pipeline
    •  Participate in and run projects, internally and externally
    •  Experience in the baking field required. Preferably at industrial scale. Minimum 5-10 years experience.
    •  In depth Knowledge of the baking industry value chain and technical know how relating to industrial bakeries.
    •  Appropriate technical and commercial tertiary education is preferred.
    •  Good interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships with clients
    •  Prepared to travel as required – approx 40-90 days per annum
    •  Be open to extensive training on an international scale in the field of sales, business acumen, negotiation skills and technical support
    •  A team player able to co-ordinate the necessary internal people to support clients
    •  Conduct business negotiations and product presentations at executive management level
    •  Good positive attitude and sound relationships in the SA baking industry.

    Application Specialist

    Job Description

    Basic Purpose

    •  Visit customers and build a strong network in the SSA dairy industry
    •  Proactively and reactively provide high level technical support to customers in relation to the use and application of DuPont Nutrition & Health (N&H) dairy solutions
    •  Provide up to date ingredient, application and solution knowledge to customers
    •  Protect existing business by solving ad hoc technical issues with N&H solutions at customers/potential new customers
    •  Scout for new opportunities at existing and potential new customers
    •  Feed market information to business to support the innovation pipeline
    •  Participate in and run projects, internally and externally

    Key Responsibilities And Tasks

    •   Apply N&H solutions to customers in the (fresh fermented) dairy industry in the defined geographic area
    •   Provide technical support to our customers in close cooperation with our Application Dairy, SAFI Sales and Product Management
    •   Participate in Fresh Fermented Application Group meetings upon request with the purpose to get and share market, solution and application information
    •   Support Sales in the development of relevant account plans
    •   Design protocols for internal pilot plant trials and perform follow up evaluation/analysis
    •   Report monthly to manager on projects, successes and challenges
    •   Together with team developed written technical material
    •   Opportunity based (Salesforce.com) customer support and documentation of pilot and plant trials and projects according to guidelines

    Key Challenges/Success Criteria

    •  Make the value of technical support and N&H solutions & capabilities visible and to our customers primarily in Sub Saharan Africa.
    •  Use the SAFI Innovation network in EMEA to provide the best possible service and solutions to customers
    •  Efficient team work with EMEA dairy innovation and with sales account managers
    •  Focus on the prioritised tasks as defined by group manager
    •  Defend existing business and win new business
    •  Support and drive strong team work across SA Innovation, Sales and other functions.

     REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    •   Educational back ground within dairy technology and/or dairy science
    •   Preferably 5-10 years of working experience with production and/or product development in the dairy industry or related industries
    •   Good command and working knowledge of spoken and written English required
    •   Some years of team manager role experience is preferred.
