    Financial Manager (Subsidiaries and Associates) - Cape Town

    Description

    • The financial manager will need to assist in managing in the performance and working with external associates’ financial team for all reporting requirements. They will ensure the optimal performance from a strategic perspective in line with Flash requirements for all current and future subsidiaries.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project management, cross team communications and workflow
    • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
    • Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for the management team and the rest of the company
    • Work with senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, provide access to project finance information, and manage compliance and reporting
    • Manage a team for the Eezi Global division who are responsible for recording and processing all financial transactions.
    • Maintaining and analyzing financial data and performance
    • Overall review of all subsidiaries and associates, include but not limited to ratio analysis and investment review
    • Prepare the board pack and investment control documents
    • Assist with the strategy and structure with Finance GM for the investments. Management and performance of all cash flow requirements for subsidiaries and associates
    • Implementing & streamlining – All subsidiary and associates products and procedures to stream line efficiency and synergy within the Flash environment.
    • Assisting with forecast, budget and 3-year plan for all subsidiaries and associates
    • Reviewing and assisting on Transfer pricing (TP) questionnaire on a quarterly basis and attending to other TP requirements and submissions as required
    • Reviewing all UK tax and submissions with the tax manager
    • Managing the forex calculation and FCTR accounts with FM reporting
    • Providing information for internal and external audits 
    • Backup for the other financial managers, including UK reporting and cashflow submission
    • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Group Financial Manager – Reporting

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

    • CA (SA)
    • 3 – 5 years post article experience
    • 2+ year of Management experience
    • Advanced spreadsheet skills
    • UK/EU experience will be beneficial

    Mid - Weight Digital Designer - Cape Town

    Description

    • For this role the Candidate should have a strong knowledge of evolving trends in design and social media, and constantly be trying to create new and exciting work. They will need to be able to work proactively under their own initiative, be extremely organised, and have the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.They will be working across all creative assets needed for Flash’s digital channels, as well as motion.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Preparing mockups and presenting to clients before deciding on a final design/concept.Getting signoff/approval before finalising artwork.Have a good working knowledge of digital media platforms and being comfortable designing within those parameters.Designing and developing digital content for web and social media, including animation/motion graphics and video editing.360 creative conceptualising of all branded communications - you will have the opportunity to shape all aspects of a brand from static design to moving image.Working to briefs and deadlines, delivering beautifully finished assets in a timely mannerMaking sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to press and production facilities.Layout of graphic and basic design.Designing of sales proposal decks.Amendment of existing artwork.Create FA source files.Become familiarised with client’s brand guidelines and past assignments.

    Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or Art Direction or related fields.
    • 4+ years experience in digital design; an agency or brand background is preferred.
    • Adept at all digital design platforms. ie. Designing for social media templates such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and Linkedin.
    • Expert Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), 
    • Knowledge of Figma
    • If you know your way around After Effects – advantageous
    • Up to date current Design Portfolio.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Have a good working knowledge of digital media platforms and being comfortable designing within those parameters.

    Description
    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage a team of accountants (4)
    • Reviewing of month end processing of stock, revenue, expenses and balance sheet accounts
    • Manage and review margins of selected products to ensure correct capturing by team
    • Ensure accurate presentation in the management accounts of the selected virtual products
