    Creative Fragrance Manager

    In this exciting role, you will:

    Fragrance development

    • Develop olfactory strategy for clients, market, category and guide Perfumery teams accordingly
    • Manage/execute multiple complex briefs and develop or select fragrances according to the given brief guidelines
    • Liaise with other regional creative centres, as necessary, to complete project assignments
    • Define fragrances to be tested and coordinate with CMI
    • Translate CMI results into olfactory guidelines for perfumers
    • Participate in olfactory analysis of new products to identify interesting notes for creative Development
    • Develop new fragrances with Perfumers on a pro-active basis
    • Work with lab on testing product stability
    • Follow and understand the Best Practices and efficiency improvement opportunities

    Industry and Marketing

    • Anticipate market tastes; work closely with marketing colleagues on proactive concept generation
    • Write olfactory summaries of a region/market and customer for knowledge-building & sharing
    • Conduct customer presentations/interactions
    • Demonstrate consistent track records of new wins

    Activation and Gallery

    • Build and curate the best in class fragrance collection, responding to gap analysis, market needs, market trends and
    • incorporating Givaudan technologies
    • Manage fast and efficient selection of fragrances for activation projects from oil or blind

    Your professional profile includes: 

    • Advanced degree in perfumery
    • 7+ years’ experience in fragrance evaluation or similar role
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex evaluation projects
    • Advanced degree in perfumery/ chemistry/ closely related tertiary qualification
    • Knowledge and experience in the Sub-Saharan African region is an advantage
    • Passion for perfume and olfaction
    • Expert knowledge of fragrance products and key customers, Broad knowledge of the market dynamics and olfactory trends
    • Ability to predict market acceptance
    • Ability to effectively interact with customers/clients on briefs, technical matters and other issues
    • Ability to take ownership of a brand & customer relations

    Marketing Manager

    In this exciting role you will:

    Strategic Storytelling:

    • Create and present tailored presentations using Givaudan's graphic guidelines.
    • Lead immersive customer experiences to showcase Givaudan's expertise.
    • Develop creative narratives to bring fragrances to life.
    • Identify brand and fragrance "white space" and ideate new concepts, including mockups and mood boards.
    • Support customers with segmentation and brand portfolio strategies.
    • Build and maintain impactful customer relationships.
    • Collaborate with sales and fragrance development teams to establish olfactory directions and win briefs.
    • Facilitate projects and consolidate presentations for customers

    Market & Trend Intelligence:

    • Monitor market and macro trends within the categories.
    • Track product launches and relaunches, focusing on fragrance evolution.
    • Analyze brand communication, packaging, and fragrance strategies.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of fragrance products, trends, key customers, and competitors.
    • Forecast market trends and translate them into business opportunities.
    • Design marketing programs, exhibitions, and displays to inspire both internally and externally.
    • Develop marketing tools, including design, digital, and packaging.

    Consumer Analysis:

    • Collaborate with the Consumer Market Insights team to understand consumer behaviors and identify new product ideas.
    • Analyze consumer insights to assess the role of fragrances within the product mix.

    Fragrance Knowledge:

    • Write descriptions for fragrance launches and visuals, collaborating with the creative team.
    • Recognize olfactory notes and communicate effectively in fragrance terminology.
    • Understand consumer perceptions of olfactive directions to build fitting concepts or product ideas.

    Your professional profile includes:

    • Tertiary qualification: Preferably a Bachelor's or University degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Media, Copy Writing, or related field
    • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in the B2B marketing space. Preference for candidates from the Fragrance, Cosmetics, Perfumes, Ingredients, and Chemicals sectors or exposure to B2B marketing for other relevant industries with a sensory element involved in the products or solutions on offer.
    • A good understanding or mix of experience in B2C marketing will be advantageous.
    • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
    • A team player and comfortable with diversity.
    • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
    • Able to travel within the SSA region for customer visits and consumer market monitoring when required (~10% of the time)

    Regional Marketing Manager

    Main responsibilities:

    Marketing Strategy-Leads AGO Process

    • Identify needs and opportunities through external and internal analysis
    • Partner with sales and local technical teams to identify growth opportunities and target accounts
    • Consolidate and prioritize needs and communicate with Sub-Regional Marketing Head and Regional Marketing Teams
    • Lead Marketing efforts to commercialize new innovations and products to drive profitable growth,
    • Through partnering with Local and Regional Technical&Marketing Teams and Sales

    Engage with Sales Teams to provide marketing support for targeted local customers

    • Develop relationships with selected target customers
    • Plan, coordinate and executes key local customers visit in relation to marketing activities
    • Ensure that customers know and understand our capabilities
    • Support Regional CM or PM in the development of trends, capabilities and innovation presentations and adapt to maximize local relevance
    • Ensure local Marketing activity is consistent with Flavour Division Branding&Positioning.
    • Build Givaudan Brand in the local market
    • Lead development of local product or brand concepts and present to target customers to drive profitable growth
    • Engage on customer briefs

    Support Innovation Efforts

    • Support Define stage of IDDC by providing local market justification and requirements to the Regional
    • Product Manager (e.g., sales/profit projections, regulatory requirements, product cost and performance expectations)
    • Lead the Commercialization effort at a local level through effective partnering with Regional Segment Teams, Local Technical and Sales
    • Ensure that products are relevant for the local markets in terms of cost-effectiveness, profitability and performance
    • Partner with Technical to deliver customer presentations on new technologies to local target customers

    Build Market Understanding

    • Develop deep understanding of local customer brands and local market dynamics
    • Become local category expert, through analysis of consumer trends and insights, customer products, growth rates, shares, new product introductions and competitive landscape

    Academic Background

    • University degree in Marketing or related field

    Professional experience

    • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a multinational environment
    • Experience in Food and Beverage or related industry an advantage

    Technical Skills

    • Proficient in English, other relevant language advantageous
    • Sales or B2B Marketing knowledge with a strong know how of B2C Marketing in an international environment
    • Solid understanding of marketing strategy and principles including brand execution, commercialisation of new products, and creative promotions
    • Ability to plan actively, ensuring sales buy in and securing the required technical support
    • Ability to analyse and develop local pricing guidelines for global strategic investment
    • Products/technologies in coordination with segments
    • Strong project management and leadership skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication ability and presentation skills

    CSI Manager

    As a part of our team, your influence will be:

    • Ensure that CSI projects and initiatives undertaken fit with the overall segment / area business strategy and priorities
    • Scope and define CSI project plans, designs, timelines and budget according to overall project objectives and key stakeholder expectations
    • Lead the successful execution of CSI projects by effectively leveraging different research approaches where relevant (i.e.sensory science, consumer sensory etc.), managing external research partners and internal constituents
    • Proactively leverage secondary research data and information to supplement primary research and effectively monitor trends in how markets, categories and consumers are evolving

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering and related fields
