    Learning and Development Specialist

    About the Job

    Job Description

    • We're on a magical journey, and we need an equally magical Learning and Development Specialist to join our iKTribe.

    So, what will you do?

    • You will be responsible for empowering employees in their roles by supporting the Learning & Development initiatives at iKhokha. The Learning & Development Specialist will provide support to the Learning Manager through helping develop and deliver a variety of learning solutions.
    • The individual will be responsible for identifying training needs, drawing insights from analytics, developing training material and delivering impactful training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees, as well as measuring the impact across the organisation.

    Qualifications

    The deal breakers:

    • Degree in HR or any relevant tertiary qualification with 3-5 years experience in high-performing, fast-paced environment;
    • Functional experience in talent development, training, facilitation, general HR administration, managing SETA funded programmes;
    • Instructional Design experience and developing creative learning material;
    • Experience with Learner Management Systems and e-learning portals (including LinkedIn Learning);
    • High sense of responsibility and pride in their work;
    • Self-driven, go-getter who can prioritise work effectively;

    What would you be responsible for?

    • Sourcing details or service providers for learning and development interventions as defined by the learning objectives, alongside the Learning coordinator;
    • Brief service providers on the specific requirements of the programmes;
    • Communicate with stakeholders on course details;
    • Manage delegates responses for the relevant courses;
    • Assist in facilitating, collecting, capturing and sorting of any information arising from the training needs analysis;
    • Ensuirng the project management boards where projects are managed are up to date. 
    • Co-ordinate in-house and external training;
    • Preparing the training facilities (if internal or at an offsite venue);
    • Organise travel, catering and accommodation requirements for service providers and or delegates;
    • Ownership of the training calendar/ plan for the year and assist in initiating these planned sessions;
    • Manage and facilitate the monthly induction programme for the business, including preparation of the induction presentation manual;
    • Co-ordinate diaries for the Learning Manager and induction presenters.
    • Develop a competency frame, training needs analysis and a training matrix;
    • Work with finance to reconcile accounts relating to external service providers;
    • Produce compelling learning material using in house capacity or external service providers where necessary;
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the business to create learning material;
    • Proactively prepares creative and high impact communications to entice learners to engagement;
    • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation;
    • Support initiatives to drive a learning culture;
    • Liaise with the relevant SETAs for any skills programmes;
    • Support the business units with graduate programme initiatives and Learnership programmes;
    • Maintain the learning policy on an ongoing basis;
    • Develops assessment instruments to evaluate program effectiveness leveraging various assessment models;
    • Develops surveys to understand the business and learner needs.
    • Monthly reporting on all Learning and development areas to Stakeholders;
    • Reporting on monthly learning expenditure and ensuring the budget is constantly up to date;
    • Highlighting and analysing trends and patterns within the L&D space;
    • Ensure accurate record keeping monthly for reporting purposes;
    • Analyse learning and development evaluations and general feedback to drive continuous improvements to programmes and changes to service providers;
    • Updating all trackers for L&D;
    • Manage iKhokha’s online learning platform, LinkedIn Learning, as a super user. This includes ensuring that licenses are up to date. Responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of LinkedIn Learning and making recommendations;
    • Assists with the Annual Training Report and Workforce Skills Planning report, and collation of supporting documentation;
    • Maintain and drive usage of the company’s learning management system monthly.
    • Assisting with ad hoc HR initiatives;
    • Assist employees with any L&D related queries;
    • Maintain regular contact with learners to ensure that any roadblocks are addressed proactively and learners are supported.
    • Proactively researches relevant topics, advancements in the field of fintech and learning & development;
    • Enages in continuous learning and professional development, keeping current with business trends and compliance requirements of the job;
    • Remain up to date with relevant trends in the learning domain and tech domain.

    • You will produce a wide range of creative assets, from designing concept pitches to producing highly polished final artwork.
    • You will work with Team Leads to create effective creative communication solutions that edify iKhokha as a brand and that help our merchants and potential merchants make decisions.
    • You  must be capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, show amazing attention to detail, and be well organized.

    Deal Breakers

    • Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a graphic designer or related role
    • Design for a broad range of projects including print communication, packaging, and digital and moving images.
    • Creation of digital design and assets for use on our website and social media platforms.
    • To maintain the high visual standard, match, set, and assist others in maintaining this standard.
    • Creation of presentations and mock-ups to present ideas/executions for approval.
    • To bring fresh ideas and approaches by combining cultural awareness with an enquiring mind.
    • A great eye and in-depth understanding of graphic design principles.
    • Any other duties as reasonably requested.
    • Illustration skills are advantageous.
    • Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop essential).
    • Additional digital skills (e.g. After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD etc) would be an asset but not essential.
    • Knowledge of HTML & CSS would also be an asset but not essential.
    • Hubspot knowledge advantageous.

    Executive Personal Assistant

    So, what will you do?

    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and control all administrative and operational procedures, activities, and documentation for the CEO and Executive team.

    • 5 years’ plus experience as an Executive PA.
    • Excellent computer literacy (proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint & Excel).

    What would you be responsible for?

    • Source, co-ordinate and arrange all offsite related activities (includes conferences, end of year functions, midyear events, management offsite and training / team builds).
    • Coordinate alongside HR team the employee incentives.
    • Responsible for sourcing, costing and arranging the incentives, which includes but not limited to swag & gifting, end of year awards, team dinners etc.
    • Track budget and expenditure of all team building activities across the business.
    • Arrange international travel and meeting schedule by developing detailed itineraries; also knows how to get a small exec team from A to B to C. Taking into account corporate travel policies, travel Visas, costs and proper documentation.
    • Manage end-to-end logistics and co-ordination for Exec team travel including check-in for flights, distributing Boarding passes etc.
    • Manage the day to day schedule of the exec team in such a way that executives are able to complete their obligations in an organized, efficient way; juggling multiple requests across time zones.
    • Provide administrative support to the rest of the teams reporting to the CEO.
    • Compile and prepare PowerPoint presentations, maintain, and create Excel workbooks, prepare typed Word documents and the like.
    • Assist CEO in preparation for quarterly reports to the Board and arrange materials necessary for all committee and Exco meetings (dates/attendee list/logistics/catering).
    • Take action points and minutes in key meetings for the CEO.
    • Ensure that VC facilities are working and set-up ahead of meetings for the CEO.
    • Custodian of Executive confidential information (credit cards, passwords, ID’s, etc.)
    • Assist Exec team with personal admin tasks including vehicle licenses and services, insurance claims etc.
    • Liaise directly with personal bankers to raise queries and requests on behalf of CEO and CPO.
    • Executive team errands, including organizing lunches daily. 
    • Process any claims or reimbursements for the Executive team.
    • Build trust with the team to keep a pulse on the team culture, and with internal business partners and other administrative staff across the company to collaborate effectively.
    • Coordinate customer workshops/meetings and events with Marketing, product teams, and strategic partners.
