    Economic Research Analyst

    Job description

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct economic impact assessments on Regulations and Government Policies
    • Conduct research on local and international economic matters
    • Perform trend analysis on economic matters and provide input for strategic decision making
    • Collate and draft appropriate reports and provide effective feedback
    • Ensure operational incidents are appropriately documented and managed
    • Collate and interpret research assessment results
    • Ensure risk or weaknesses identified are escalated  
    • Building relationships with business

    • Self-starter and ability to work independently
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Problem identification and solution skills

    • Financial service experience (2 – 3 years)
    • Bcom Honours in Economics
    • Bcom Honours in Econometrics advantageous

    HR Manager - Tyger Valley

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide ongoing HR support and business partnering, focusing on achieving business objectives by leveraging the HR agenda.
    • Strategic partner with Distribution EXCO Business
    • Overseeing all recruitment activities for the Distribution channel (Head office, Distribution Advisor offices, Adviser Development Programme)
    • Responsible for onboarding programs for new employees including acquisitions as well as of boarding.
    • Training and Development and facilitation initiatives
    • Facilitation of monthly Distribution induction
    • Facilitation of all legislative training for advisor offices (FICA, POPIA, COMPETITION ACTS, FAIS)
    • Management of succession planning process as well as implementation of retention strategy
    • Managing and overseeing all IR matters for the division.
    • Rigorous weekly and monthly analysis and reporting.
    • Provide support on all Distribution transformation initiatives.
    • Managing bi-annual performance review cycle including performance management training and personal development plans.
    • Responsible for Health and Safety compliance for the division
    • Provide `"hands-on" management of HR requirements to ensure the effective delivery of HR services.

    • Project management experience would be beneficial.
