Manage sales, market business solutions, build a solid pipeline of qualified prospects and conduct all sales activities needed to achieve sales budget on an assigned channel.
Formulate and manage sales, market business solutions, build a solid pipeline of qualified prospects and conduct all sales activities needed to achieve sales budget on an assigned channel.
Formulate and implement medium and short-range plans for an assigned channel, in the frame of company policy to achieve approved objectives, regarding volume, sales, margin, market share, financial goals, etc.
Report on the achievement of sales orders and gross margin targets for the financial year, monthly or as required by the management.
Target new accounts and exploits business opportunities to achieve sales targets for targeted market segments, develop and implement sales strategies for the selected channel.
Maintain and develop good relationships with customers, distributors, and business partners.
Conduct sales presentation draft sales proposals and negotiate with customers Sales Representatives to win significant sales order.
Maintain database of clients and grow each new sale into strong account references.
Provide sales forecasts for the assigned channel to the sales team periodically.
Continuously promoting products and services offered by the company.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives.
Develop account management plans within the context of the company’s immediate and long-term goals.
Prepare annual and/monthly sales budget.
Supervise and monitor sales activities of Sales Representatives and continuously monitor performance against sales targets to identify deviations from plan and if necessary, take timely corrective actions to ensure the realization of agreed sales objectives.
Gather market information regarding market trends, competitive activity and requirements for the development of new and existing products.
Lead, develop, motivate, and manage a team of members to ensure that sales and collection targets are met.
Monitor customer promotion calendar & forecast – Order vs Forecast.
Analysis of scan sales as benchmark, assisting in post-mortem of major promotion.
Spot and develop talent ready for moves. Provide training for Sales Reps, Technical Advisors identify issues and develop a reporting procedure to inform key stakeholders within the businesses to ensure they take responsibility for managing/fix issues as necessary.

Promote a safe and healthy environment within the company.
Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and management
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing
Min 5 years of experience in related field with at least 2 years’ experience in sales management level.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite).
Good communication in English and other SA Official Regional Languages.
Strong relationship building and business partnering skills with an ability to manage customer expectations.
Well developed, written communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
Previous experience in a large FMCG environment in a leadership position across all disciplines.
Extensive experience in baking from a sales & technical perspective.
Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions and customers
Resolve valid or authorised deductions by entering corrections to customer accounts
Ensure timely payments of debts
Respond to customer queries
Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time
Ensure that the service offering provided satisfies customers
Meet the cash & debtor days targets set by the company
Ensure that all transactions are compliant with the company’s policies
Adhere to and support the company’s vision, mission and values without compromise or exception
Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
Undertake account reconciliations as required
Send out customers statements timeously
Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met by working overtime as and when required
Release orders timeously to prevent any delays in deliveries
Support the General Manager on releasing orders after hours
Fully responsible of maintaining the National Retail Debtors Book
JOB REQUIREMENT
Matric (Grade 12)
Financial Qualification
5 years of experience in Credit Controlling.
Strong in reconciliation
Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), SharePoint and WMS (Johannesburg branch only)
Communicate with staff at all levels; communicate with persons outside the organisation; negotiate with customers; establish and maintain interpersonal relationships.
Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite.
Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s)
Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
