    Accountant's Assistant, EMEA

    Accountant's Assistant, EMEA

    As an Accountant's Assistant, you’ll work within our Finance team assisting in the maintenance, reporting and management of our Company finances. In this role you can expect to assist with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills. You will be responsible for ensuring end to end accounts payable function and control. It will be important to have a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm to learn. Over time the role has the possibility to support and develop in wider finance functions.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Processing invoices
    • Reconciling customer statements
    • Dealing with supplier queries
    • Constructing weekly payment runs
    • Uploading payment to the bank
    • Preparing and monitoring Aged creditor analysis along with monthly schedule/commentary
    • Setting up suppliers on the accounting system accurately
    • Bank reconciliation pertaining to Suppliers
    • Reconciling and monitoring spend on Credit Cards

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop accurate and highly engaging content to be used across our global digital platforms and in targeted communications in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work across a broad range of content from short and punchy restaurant and hotel write-ups, to emails announcing new partnerships with designer brands, invitations to specially curated events and travel features that showcase our expertise.
    • Craft supplier/brand copy for platform and emails in line with Ten’s editorial standards and requirements.
    • Work with Ten's worldwide specialists to support business growth through content creation.
    • Adopt the Ten style and voice.
    • Meet deadlines as set out by the senior content team.
    • Assist content writers in brainstorming ideas and sourcing information.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in content writing

    Subeditor, Content

    The Role

     

    We’re seeking an experienced subeditor to join our fast-growing content team in Cape Town. Speedy, eagle-eyed and accurate, with a thorough knowledge of the English language, the subeditor will be able to analyse, fact check and correct copy while upholding the style of the brand and its writers.
    This individual will act as a gatekeeper for our clients' voices, ensuring all content adheres to the relevant policies. A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and boundless curiosity are essential qualities for this role – and the successful incumbent have a talent for crafting excellent headlines, email subject lines and short blurbs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Daily subediting and proofreading of platform and email content published in English. On any one day, you’ll be responsible for editing our in-house writers’ restaurant and hotel reviews, everyday communications that keep members up to date with details of their requests, as well as regular emails announcing new partnerships with designer brands, invitations to specially curated events and travel features that showcase our expertise.
    • In conjunction with second subeditor, conceptualising and managing a rigorous system for ensuring all content is thoroughly checked before being published.
    • Detailed fact-checking, mining for inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
    • Refreshing old content to ensure that details stand correct across all English digital platforms.
    • Adopting the voice of Ten and style requirements of each client.
    • Writing micro-content as needed by the regional editors.
    • Editing and creating brilliant, punchy, attention grabbing headers and sells.
    • Working within the expected timeframes and deadlines.
    • Keeping up to date on travel and lifestyle trends and news to inform article content.
    • Working with Ten's worldwide specialists to support business growth through content creation.

    Role Purpose

     

    We’re looking for an experienced Picture Editor to bring the content of Ten alive to engage and inspire our members across the globe. You will be passionate about working on creating inspiring, content that conveys our passion and expertise in travel, dining and entertainment.
    This content will be published throughout the world on our sites, in digital and booklets and sent out to targeted groups of our high-net-worth membership base daily.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with the content heads and the team members to identify photography needs
    • Be able to respond to briefs pro-actively to create stellar results
    • Use online photo agencies to research and create moodboards
    • Decide which images to publish
    • Review photos, edit and make necessary changes
    • Liaise with editors, photographers and proposition owners to advise on future projects
    • Stay up to date with new image management and editing technologies

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in picture editing

    Junior Graphic Designer

    We are looking for an ambitious, proactive and passionate graphic designer to join our growing Product Design team. The role will be focused on the creation of digital graphic outcomes, including digital magazines, guides and all the collaterals.     Chief Subeditor, Content

    The Role

     

    We’re seeking an experienced Chief Subeditor to join our fast-growing content team in Cape Town or London. The successful candidate will lead teams of sub-editors across the globe ensuring all English copy is compelling, accurate and grammatically correct.
    You will be expected to uphold the house style, lead on developing it for the future and ensure it is communicated and understood throughout the business.

    • Ensure all facts are checked and that grammar, punctuation and spelling are correct

    • Ensure that copy is adapted as appropriate to individual clients needs
    • Write sparkling heads, sells and subject lines
    • Manage a busy team, working at high-velocity, creating digital copy for websites, emails and digital booklets
    • Chase commissioning editors, writers and proposition owners to ensure that content is delivered to schedule
    • Book freelance subs as necessary, while staying within budget.
    • Lead on a fast-track programme to onboard new subeditors and writers

    Production Manager, Content

    The Role Purpose

    We’re looking for a highly organised Production Manager to join our fast-growing content team in Cape Town. This role is multifaceted and suited to an experienced writer who has equal lashings of creativity and attention to detail and is inherently process driven.
    You will be expected to run content through the right workflows on time, while evaluating briefs and writing to ensure the work aligns for both stakeholders and the creative team. The successful incumbent will also be an adept writer, who can tackle any brief, from travel and dining to product guides and brand content, while mentoring other writers in the team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the production flow of content, from stakeholder brief to end product, ensuring work is fully QAed and meets the brief
    • Chase commissioning editors, writers and proposition owners to ensure that content is delivered to schedule
    • Work closely with the EMEA content leads to refine processes
    • Act as a liaison for content with external departments, assisting with briefing processes and sign offs
    • Work closely with the chief sub editor to ensure content is meticulously checked, is expressed with Ten’s tone of voice and tells the story of Ten
    • Create content for guides and special projects as needed
    • Onboard new team members with production processes
