MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

• The incumbent will support the Africa SC Leads, to achieve their goals, advance their agenda and leverage their time effectively, whilst proactively managing the administrative, cost saving, and business adoption tools for your function.

Job Summary: 

•  Business Adoption Champion – ensure that you use all new business tools for effective ways of working.
•  Meeting Efficiency:
•  Create share points for the leadership teams;
•  Request agenda items for meetings;
•  Sign off agenda with leader; request timeous pre-reads to be posted on SharePoint;
•  Create a tracker to remind all leaders of previous actions from previous meetings
•  Assist leaders with personal administration as and when required.
•  Onboarding: Proactively managing all new hire induction meetings and general onboarding.
•  Manage all functional engagements, decrease reliance on agencies to manage functional events, liaise with approved suppliers to meet functional engagement briefs.
•  Manage itinerary for senior visitors
•  Manage calendars: meetings, travel schedules, leave dates.
•  Coordinate meeting and conference schedules, venues, teleconference, presentation equipment, and other meeting requirements.
•  Liaise with the travel hub for all travel bookings, alternatively use the Concur booking system to manage all travel for functional team.
•  Ensure leadership team travel profiles are up to date.
•  Facilitate expense claims and expense reports.
•  Liaise with other team secretaries for administrative coordination requirements.
•  Organize local and international workshops, conferences, trainings and meetings and provides support to international visitors.
•  Collect, compile and organize presentation and meeting materials.
•  Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
•  Manage stationery requirements for leaders that you support.
•  Build and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

• Are you a dynamic and flexible team player who has a keen eye for detail and data analytics methodology to manage compliance and governance of Homecare R&D data lifecycle in PLM and other business systems? Do you have a passion for digital, embracing the need for user acceptance testing, training and troubleshooting on the various R&D related digital tools? Can you bring the necessary technical skill/expertise, passion for winning and project management rigor to partner cross functional teams to lead end to end data compliance and governance and provide R&D teams with insights for growth?

JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data
• Specifications support to R&D teams to enable delivery of category program (Innovation, Renovation, Value Improvement, Supply Chain support).
• Lead delivery of specification cleansing for HC R&D Africa to maintain green scorecards.
• Manage defaulters on Africa tools (PIT/PLM e.g.) to ensure green scores on global dashboards.
• Provide leadership for data management aspects in project scoping, risk evaluation, data change management and reporting.
• Proactive Data Quality review and reporting for HC R&D
• PLM Expertise and Super user support to R&D end users.
• Support for business audits on R&D data compliance
• Manage end to end R&D data interfaces in all systems inked to PLM, including setting up Ways of working, and training of HC end users.
• PIT: Approve PIT statements and responsible for the translation process (get translations done and approved by Regulatory) for Formulator to input into PIRDs.
• Trouble shooting and Root Cause Analysis of business queries relating to specification, recipes, and Bills of Materials (BOM’s)
• Responsible for creation of material codes on NECO system for all LOS as briefed and HC lead for NECO governance calls.
• Conduct UAT (user acceptance tests) for all new systems or Change requests on existing systems.
• Assist with overflow specifications on PLM where needed.
• Digital
• Partner with Global Digital R&D (DRD) teams to lead Africa input into Digital tool design, change impact assessment, risk mitigation and execution)
• Represent HC Africa in global community of practice connects for data and Digital.
• Set up and run a HC Africa Digital CoP
• Fully operation and drive adoption of all relevant R&D and business digital tools that use R&D data
• Support requests for HC R&D team tool access
• Be a leader and change catalyst for use of R&D digital tools in project delivery.
• Partner with category teams in creation of new digital tools and R&D HC data insights that support delivery of growth in Africa.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant BTech / BSC qualification in the field of Math’s, Science, Engineering and or IT / Data Science / Analytics.
• 3 – 5 years relevant experience:
• Experience in PLM or equivalent data management systems
• Demonstrated experience with data mining skills.
• Knowledge about management of databases, Power BI, data analytics, and reporting including interpretation of results.
• Experience in working with multi-functional, multi-located and multi-cultural teams.
• Must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities.
• SAP experience and understanding would be beneficial.
• An entrepreneurial mindset is beneficial.
• Preferable experience in leading teams / people and managing projects.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE..

• You’ll play a strategic role in opening white space markets across Africa, building global seeding strategies for brands; Dove, Rexona, Sure, Axe, Vaseline, Shea Moisture, Glow and Lovely, Magnum, etc.
• You’ll pioneer brand seeding models, leverage digital and shopper marketing to build brands rapidly;
• You’ll partner BD teams to analyse the market and lead cross-functional UI teams to land innovations in market fast with impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Driving Marketing Strategy

• Leading and driving the global seeding strategy for brands
• Developing digital and social marketing plans for seeding and brand launches
• Launching key niche brands across white spaces
• Overseeing marketing strategy and development of seeding brands

Business Performance Analysis & Planning

• Supporting BD managers to ensure OTIF delivery of key strategic projects and targets
• Managing Annual Joint Business Planning exercis

Identifying and Capitalising on White Spaces 

• Evaluating, analysing and mapping white space opportunities for division(s) to recommend strategic brand launches
• Launching key niche brands across identified white space markets

Stakeholder Management

• Fostering strong relationships with wider UI Marketing team to share best practices and learnings

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in Brand Development and/or Brand Building
• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Have strong track record of consistency in market delivery
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with key stakeholders
• Have experience working and leading in cross-functional teams
• Have great project management and business process design skills
