    Administration Assistant - Johannesburg

    We are looking for an Office Administration Assistant to render administrative support to the Finance Administrator and Office Manager with smooth running of the office by providing administrative support that will lead to smooth functioning of the district.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    General Administration   

    • General Administration, finance administration and compliance administration
    • Capturing of data-on-data sheets as and when required
    • Checking and verifying of errors in source documents
    • Processing of payments to service provider when required.
    • Capturing and reconciliation of petty cash and fuel transactions and sending to head office for reimbursement
    • Ensure supplier invoice’ correctness, accuracy and compliancy with Anova SOP’S before sending them to Head Office

    Data Administrator Tracing Clerk - Greater Tzaneen Rural

    We are looking for a skilled Data Administrator Tracing Clerk to support the Department of Health through direct service at facility level, carry out data-related admin work, capture patient’s files, generate missed appointments/ defaulter reports, track/ trace missed appointments including any other clients referred for tracing and compile monthly statistics. The successful incumbent will provide administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient patient flow, general operations and improve adherence to care of TB/HIV patients to PHC facilities by tracing the missed appointment clients back to care telephonically through brief adherence counselling.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Welcome and assist patients with queries
    • Register and retrieve patients’ files
    • Manage patient booking/appointment system as requested
    • Verify all reported data against source documents
    • Capture patient’s information into all database platforms, e.g. Tier.Net, and other DoH database applications
    • File patient records as per ideal clinic processes and facility filing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
    • Collate weekly collected data, DHIS data, submit to facility manager and Anova manager
    • Assist the WBPHCOT’s to trace defaulters within the communities
    • Facilitate all tracing processes (telephonic and physical) of the priority facilities
    • Assist the PHC facility with telephonic tracing of missed appointments and defaulters
    • Compilation of all clients that were not reached telephonically to the WBPHCOT register for physical tracing
    • Update tracing outcomes on Tier.Net
    • Carry out data quality assessments and audits with close guidance from M&E Officer
    • Coordinate and collect ad-hoc and routine weekly data from facilities by all Anova team members in the sub district

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary graduates an added advantage
    • 3 years of experience working with PLWHA especially within the community
    • Trained in basic HIV counselling and testing
    • Trained in adherence counselling
    • Data capturing competency through experience or training
    • Able to communicate in English and other South African official language(s)

    HTS Community Leader - Ba-Phalaborwa Rural

    We are looking for a HTS Community Leader to lead the HTS community team in different communities within the sub district for HIV testing services, working together with the Ward Based Primary Health Care Workers (WBPHCOT) and linking the community services to facilities. The incumbents will transport the team around communities and do situational analysis for areas/spots to be targeted.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise the community HTS team
    • Transport the HTS team around the sub district to testing sites
    • Conduct mass HTS services to raise awareness in the communities
    • Identify testing sites and HTS campaigns and ensure condoms are distributed
    • Initiate community awareness activities on the importance of linkage to care and adherence to treatment
    • Meeting with community leaders (i.e. Chiefs, Induna’s & Ward Councillors), community stakeholders and facility Operational Managers prior to the testing events
    • Ensure QA on test kits that will be used by counsellors in the field is done, complete checklist and IQC records following the proper SOP or guidelines
    • In conjunction with Community Linkage Officers, ensure that all clients tested are captured on Tier. Net in the linked facility of each community
    • Offer support to community awareness campaigns organized by Anova and provide HTS and any HIV awareness when required
    • Give feedback to PHC facilities, line managers and WBPHCOT on progress of tested clients in the community
    • Submit monthly reports on all activities to the line managers including the Sub District Manager

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Driver's Licence with PDP
    • At least 5 years’ experience working with PLWHA especially within the communities
    • Trained in basic HIV counselling and testing

    Retention Counsellor - Greater Tzaneen Rural

    We are looking for a Retention Counsellor who will be responsible to enhance retention in care with specific focus on patients (re)initiating ART, patients that are virally unsuppressed despite effective ART and patients at high risk of disengaging from care. To provide comprehensive and supportive adherence counselling as per the National Adherence Strategy (NAS) SOP 1 and SOP 2, including I-ACT model. The successful incumbent will also be required to conduct counselling sessions in a non-judgmental manner ensuring confidentiality according to the counselling standards.
    Key Duties and Responsibilities
    Programme Implementation

    • Provide comprehensive counselling to promote retention in line with DoH policies and guidelines and in line with district 909090 DIP and sub-district IP 909090 plans
    • Recruit and receive referrals of high-risk patients such as pregnant women, paediatrics, adolescents and youth
    • Promote and facilitate index testing and partner disclosure using the Index Screening Tool and actively refer for HTS

     Stakeholder Engagement, Reporting and Administration

    • Act upon the recommendations and outcomes of the TRAP Meetings
    • Collaborate with Ward Based Outreach Team, DoH Social Workers, Dieticians, Lay Counsellors and Clinicians for bi-lateral referrals
    • Report as per agreed timelines to Professionals at the facility or other Anova team members as required

    Engagement with DoH and Anova staff

    • Be available to work on weekends &/ or public holidays to provide adherence counselling at DoH facilities when required, a minimum of at least one Saturday per month (When required)
    • Form part of a multidisciplinary teams within Anova to promote 90% retention
    • Attend facility meetings as required to discuss Psychosocial related issues

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Training in Basic HAST, HIV counselling, Adherence counselling
    • Certificate in couple counselling, RTCQI, disclosure and paediatric consent an advantage
    • Knowledge of DoH HCT guidelines & NAS
    • General knowledge of health education advantageous
    • Knowledge of TB/HIV/PMTCT programme guidelines/counselling messages advantageous

    Linkage Officer - Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services - Maruleng Rural

    We are looking for a Linkage Officer (Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services) who will promote healthy behavior and prevent risk behavior in adolescents through the implementation of targeted interventions at sub district level including institution of higher learning. They will be responsible for mentoring and monitoring activities done by the AYFS Peer Educators as per Anova work plan strategies.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

     Health Education/Promotion

    • Provide Health education to adolescents and young people at supported facilities and during outreach campaigns about risky behaviours and sexual reproductive Health and rights (SRHR)
    • Distribute information, education, and communication (IEC) materials and other educational materials to adolescents and young people at supported facilities
    • Facilitate Youth dialogues in collaboration with health teams

    Outreach Campaign and mobilization

    • Engage in outreach campaigns to increase uptake of HIV testing services (HTS) and other services
    • Engage in other innovative campaigns in collaboration with other campus health implementing Partner
    • Promote B-wise during health talks, outreach campaigns, and assist adolescents and young people at supported facilities to register on B-wise

    Youth Care Clubs (YCC)

    • Establish and maintain existing youth care clubs and maintain existing current Youth Care Clubs (YCCs) at supported facilities
    • Facilitate disclosure process to adolescent living with HIV (ALHIV)
    • Facilitate YCC in supported facilities using AYFS approach

     Adolescent Youth-friendly Service (AYFS) Youth-Friendly hours

    • Establish and facilitate ‘’Youth-friendly Hours’’ at supported facilities and mentor facility-based peer educator on AYFS youth-friendly hours
    • Ensure that supported facilities are adherent to 10 national AYFS standards

     Scale up Youth-Friendly health service-condom distribution

    • Facilitate distribution of condoms both male and female including condom demonstration to adolescents and young people

    Case Identification and linkage to care

    • Screen adolescents and young people for HTS and other services and link positive clients to care using current navigation models e.g., Karabo model in nearby facilities
    • Screen adolescents and young people for HTS and other services
    • Link negative clients to prevention services e.g. VMMC to nearby facilities and clinics
    • Link all positive clients to nearby facilities for ART and other services

     Adherence

    • Ensure that all adolescents and young people living with HIV are adherent to their ARVs
    • Link all defaulters to tracing team enhanced adherence counsellors
    • Monitor 90-90-90 treatment plan at supported facilities where peer educators are based 

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Attend Anova internal meetings
    • Conduct adolescent health profile in communities
    • Establish bi directional (community/facility) referral channels to AYFS
    • Form Partnership (working with Anova team and linkage officer) with other implementing partners e.g. condom distributers, HEAIDS

    Capacity Building

    • Train and mentor health teams on AYFS, YCC 90-90-90, SRHR and CADC models
    • Train and mentor facility peer educators and counsellors on YCC, child and adolescent disclosure counselling (CADC) model of HIV
    • Mentor Anova clinicians and non -clinicians on peer education

    Reporting

    • Provide constant feedback on program development on weekly , monthly and quarterly basis to line managers and relevant people
    • Weekly update of facility support visits on TA register
    • Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report to adolescent Technical Advisor, Anova sub-district manager and linkage officer timely

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Diploma in social science or relevant qualification
    • Qualified in HIV counsellor with 2 years’ experience in working with Adolescent and Young people
    • Experience with public speaking and trained on facilitation skills
    • Have knowledge and experience in TB/HIV/AIDS management
    • Able to communicate in English and Sepedi highly advantageous

    Enrolled Nurse - Vanderbijlpark

    The successful candidate will be required to provide direct clinical services within the scope of work as part of Anova facility-based DSD team and assist facilities to reach their 95-95-95 targets. To provide supervision to Facility based teams in terms of case finding, case management and retention activities when carrying out their duties.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Support facilities with phlebotomy work by identifying clients eligible for viral load monitoring and collect blood specimens for viral load testing.
    • Screen clients for STIs, TB, Hypertension, Diabetes and refer for provision of symptomatic management.
    • Provide phlebotomy services for baseline bloods (pre-ART patients), VL and other monitoring bloods for patients already on ART in decanted modalities or general follow-up care.
    • Supervise the implementation of Anova’s APACE support activities at facility and facility level, in line with 95-95-95 strategy and workplan.
    • Support Anova and/or DOH counsellors providing case finding and linkage to care services as well as adherence club.
    • Supervise IQC, PT and other RTCQI activities at facility level.
    • Supervise and perform monitoring activities including updating of registers and collection of statistics and validating of data.
    • Track laboratory results and ensure appropriate distribution, capturing and filing thereof.
    • Adhere to individual target requirements as per team lead/supervisor directive, maintain data collection requirements and submit reports as required.

    Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

    • Enrolled Nursing.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Enrolled Nurse duties.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in HIV or Public health environment.
    • Able to demonstrate ability to manage data collection and reporting.
    • Computer Literate – MS Office Packages (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint).
    • Excellent Communication skills.
    • Innovative, organized, analytical and excellent interpretation data skills.
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Attention to detail.
