System Analyst Intern at Pepkor Payments & Lending

Key Responsibilities:

As a Systems Analyst Intern, you’ll:

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to solution discussions and technical analysis.
• Help maintain accurate system and process documentation to support operational continuity and improvement.
• Contribute to testing activities by assisting with test scenarios, functional testing support, and UAT preparation to ensure solutions meet expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and relevant technical teams to support implementation planning and delivery.
• Assist with solution documentation, including functional specifications, data flows, system integration diagrams (e.g., UML), and integration notes.
• Support the design of system and technical solutions that align with business requirements and internal technology standards.
• Review and interrogate business requirements provided by Business Analysts and stakeholders to confirm clarity, completeness, and technical feasibility

Requirements

What You’ll Gain Experience In:

• Requirements Review & Technical Analysis: Reviewing business requirements and validating technical feasibility.
• Solution Design: Assisting in creating solution designs that align with business goals and system constraints.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Supporting functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Requirements to apply:

• Qualification: BSc in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
• Knowledge of SQL, system design principles, or UML diagrams will be advantageous.
• Currently unemployed
• The internship is based in Cape Town and we operate 100% in office. Candidates must be open to relocate if not currently based in Cape Town.
