• Ensuring that the work environment is always safe and that any risks are escalated immediately.
• Highlight any quality or safety risks immediately via the Jidoka system.
• Responsible for producing volumes to meet targets with zero defects produced on the assembly line.
• Performing Autonomous maintenance according to requirements.
• Ensuring the highest level of housekeeping (5S) at all times.
• Submitting improvement suggestions, one-point lessons and Kaizen ideas.
• Participating in improvement workshops.
• Follow work instructions and standards.

The remuneration will be according to the Motor Industry Bargaining Council minimum wage.

Qualifications: 

• Valid trade certificate 
• Basic Knowledge of Press Tool 
• Basic Knowledge of Plastic Tools 

Knowledge of Toolroom Machines including: 

• Milling Machine 
• Lathe 
• Surface Grinder 
• Spark EDM 
• Tool and Cutter grinder
• Basic CNC Experience will be an advantage
• Plastic injection moulding and Press/operation will be an advantage.

This position requires an intellectual and sober minded individual who is constantly looking at personal growth, it is mandatory to have the applicable qualifications and experience as follows:

Qualifications:

• Applicable tertiary education
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
• Automotive Industry Experience will be an advantage
