    Copywriter (Centurion)

    Description

    • AVBOB is looking for a skilled Copywriter to join our Brand and Advertising team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and overseeing high-quality content across a wide range of marketing platforms from brochures and websites to social media and press ads.     • Conceptualise and write persuasive copy for a wide range of advertising and marketing materials, including brochures, websites, social media, catalogues, posters, press ads, and internal communications.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative concepts and campaigns.
    • Conduct in-depth research to support and strengthen copywriting content.
    • Ensure brand consistency and quality control across all advertising materials.
    • Write, edit, proofread, and refine content for promotional materials, internal publications, advertorials, and digital marketing.
    • Source and create localised social media content that highlights community impact at branch level.
    • Regularly update website content to reflect current campaigns and initiatives.
    • Review and proof content produced by external contributors, ensuring alignment with AVBOB’s brand and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor and manage social media platforms to enhance brand positioning and product visibility.
    • Enforce compliance with FSCA guidelines and internal advertising standards.
    • Support the development of content strategies and plans for emerging digital platforms, including direct marketing and branch-specific social media.
    • Assist with proof-reading “The Society” (internal magazine) on a quarterly basis. 

    Requirements

    • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Art, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years’ copywriting experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
    • Proven conceptualisation and proof-reading skills.
    • Strong command of grammar, tone, and brand voice.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, on-brand content.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Exceptional time management and verbal/written communication abilities.

    Senior Clerk (Centurion)

    Description

    • We are looking for a self-reliant individual with proven experience in administrative support and a solid understanding of insurance processes to be part of our operational support insurance team.
    • Under the direction of the department head, you will be responsible for administering the FSCA central and representative register for representatives and key individuals and general administration.

    YOUR RESPINSIBILIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Coordinate the registration and deregistration of representatives and key individuals, ensuring all key individuals consistently meet fit‑and‑proper regulatory requirements.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations between the FSCA register and the organisation’s internal system to ensure accurate and compliant records.
    • Process, authenticate, and maintain records relating to qualifications, regulatory exam (RE) outcomes, class of business (COB) status, and continuing professional development (CPD) for all registered representative
    • Manage user enquiries and error notifications received from the sales team, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with departmental SLA requirements.
    • Identify, replicate, and troubleshoot system errors, escalating unresolved issues to ICT together with clear replication steps and supporting documentation.
    • Support ICT with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by providing accurate testing inputs and validating system functionality.
    • Assess and interpret monthly productivity files to identify Financial Associates (FAs) earning minimum wage and highlight non‑productive individuals for corrective action.
    • Prepare comprehensive monthly debit reports, request acknowledgements of debt, review high‑risk cases, and initiate required investigations.
    • Distribute coaching performance reports to the sales team, flag non‑compliance with coaching requirements, and follow up on remedial actions taken.
    • Provide support and guidance on enquiries related to the Coaching Application.

    Requirements

    • You should be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate.
    • You should be in possession of a tertiary qualification.
    • 2 - 3 years' experience in the financial industry legislation.
    • You should have previous experience in providing administrative support and coordinating projects.
