    Technical Sales - Cape Union Mart Market Square

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Optimize sales through specialist product knowledge and selling technique.
    • Exceed customer expectations by offering specialised service and optimize sales interactions by demonstrating products to customers.
    • Adhere stock loss controls in store.
    • Ensuring individual targets are met consistently.
    • Understand, accept and follow all company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain housekeeping, uphold our visual merchandising standards and identify opportunities to make sales.
    • Assisting, training and imparting knowledge to fellow team members on products.
    • Ability to work weekends and late trading hours according to the business needs including peak trade periods and public holidays.
    • Create an inspiring environment.

    Marker Maker - Pipeline

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marker Maker to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring optimal fabric utilization and supporting the design and production teams with precise marker layouts. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, accuracy, and efficiency to our marker-making process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create markers for production that maximize fabric efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
    • Interpret patterns and technical specifications to produce accurate markers.
    • Collaborate with pattern makers, designers, and production teams to resolve layout challenges.
    • Ensure markers adhere to style, size range, and fabric requirements.
    • Work with CAD systems and marker-making software to develop and optimize layouts.
    • Maintain an organized library of markers for reference and future use.
    • Monitor fabric consumption and advise on improvements where possible.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification in Fashion Technology, Garment Construction, or a related field.
    • Proficient in marker-making software (e.g., Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and production processes.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • 2+ years of experience in a marker-making role within the apparel industry preferred.
