Description

• The purpose of the role is to oversee the work activities of the hygiene team to ensure that the site is handed over to the client according to required hygiene standards.
• The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for training the hygiene team on the safe use of all equipment and chemicals, ensuring site safety, and overseeing that all tasks are completed timeously.

Summary of responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage a team to produce a food-safe site, daily. 
• Manage and achieve the Budgeted Man-hours and Purchases in their Section. 
• Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment with compliance to all statutory safety regulations. 
• Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff. 
• Responsible for all Operational activities in their section, including operational problem solving. 
• Maintain Customer relationship; meet Customer expectations and eliminate plant damage & downtime.

Requirements

• Grade 12  
• Deep Cleaning experience is essential.
• Chemical Stock control experience is essential.
• Have exposure to Industrial Relations.
• High-Quality administrative skills required.
• Be flexible to work at various sites as requested on short notice. 

The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets: 

• Must be comfortable with the Ecowize culture and values.  
• Able to work a strict shift position and willing to work over weekends. 
• Experience in the food production industry. 
• Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations.

Description

• We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Rope Access Level 1 Technicians within our Special Projects Team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal. Rope Access training will be provided in line with the company’s training agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety and quality control in rope access activities, according to Ecowize standards.
• Responsible for all cleaning services for clients e.g. silo cleaning, window washing, and other cleaning services where working at heights are required.
• Responsible for all specialised cleaning services for clients e.g. decontamination, broiler cleaning and any specialised industrial cleaning required.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the client and team.
• Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date.
• Responsible for all equipment and the cleaning of equipment, also ensure that nothing is missing when requested to work on site.
• Attend client meetings during the task planning or organizing period.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained so that the quality of service meets the necessary standards.

Requirements

• Must be medically and physically fit to work at heights.
• Valid Rope Access Certificate Level 1 will be an advantage
• Previous work experience in the food industry is essential
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• Ability to communicate in English.
