    Education Officer

    Job Purpose

    • Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring empowerment programmes for all sectors of the community on environmental education, waste management and waste minimization.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Coordinate, monitor, promote and supervise waste management education programme within eThekwini Municipality in communities.
    • Represent CSW in governmental and non-governmental structure at local, provincial and National level.
    • Plan, design, supervise, monitor waste management and minimization programmes and educational material.
    • Plan, implement, monitor and supervise recycling projects in residential, schools and businesses.
    • Responsible for administrative duties and staff supervision.

    Customer Liaison Reception Clerk

    Job Purpose

    • Provider a clerical support function to the Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit in respect of Public Relations/ Marketing.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Attend to customer queries relating to services rendered and capture on the electronic system for actioning.
    • Provide a reception service.
    • Maintain and control stock levels of bin liners.
    • Make follow up calls to customers to determine if queries have been resolved.
    • Maintain a list of customer account transfers to and from different properties.

    Saica Graduate Trainee

    Job Purpose

    • To enable the incumbents of the post of graduate accountant to undergo a 3 year in-house training programme which provides candidates with comprehensive training in accounting and finance within the treasury departments.

    • Preparation of the draft estimate report.
    • Assist with the preparation of the annual report and annual financial statements.
    • Preparation of the annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets for the assigned output Units.
