    Regional Technical Manager

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The core purpose of the role is to manage the company’s Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Namibian system sales and ensure the efficiency of the business, whilst driving sustainable growth. Specialises in promotion and selling of company's products and services utilising technical knowledge of composition, utilisation, and maintenance of product, specifically focused on the Custodian and Aliplast range.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

    TECHNICAL SALES MANAGEMENT

    • Manage coastal systems sales in conjunction with Cape Town and PE branches.
      • Implement system sales strategies with Cape Town and PE branches and ensure system sales results are achieved.
      • Assist branches to achieve system sales in accordance with the budgets.
    • Increase the sales of the Aliplast and Custodian Range throughout Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Namibia regions, through fabricators, architects, and other professional bodies.
      • Target of new business in Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Namibia regions.
    • Ensure revenue targets are achieved on systems sales nationally.
      • Ensure GP% targets are achieved on systems sales nationally.
    • Analyse market and identify improvement / opportunity areas.
      • Complete sales and demand forecasts and actual sales analysis for the different market segments on a month-by-month basis.
      • Analyse customers and identify products not buying/stopped purchasing & increase buying of such.
      • Ensure sufficient depth of relationships within Key Accounts to promote continuity and growth.
      • Ensure clients are fully appraised of all related issues surrounding pricing, new products, skills training, and point of sale material.

    CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT 

    • Grow existing customer- and new customer base as per targets set.
      • Increase the number of customers purchasing Aliplast systems.
      • Increase the number of customers purchasing systems under the custodian range.
    • Maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.
    • Understanding customer requirements and ensuring that the aluminium systems meet or exceed customer expectations.

    TECHNICAL SUPPORT

    • Technical Training
      • Conduct technical product training nationally to increase technical abilities of employees at Cape Town and PE Branches.
      • Ensure sales employees are trained on the custodian range in all branches.
      • Ensure customers are sufficiently trained on the fabrication of systems and operation of punch tools.
    • Conduct regular market analysis to keep up to date with industry products and prices.
    • Provide accurate technical support to internal- and external stakeholders, including troubleshooting, analysis.
    • Find premium solutions for complex customer needs, to meet customer requirements, including site visits.
    • Effective collaboration with technical team:
      • Ensuring estimating procedures are followed and kept.
      • Ensuring quotes and estimations are submitted to clients according to company standards and turnaround time.
      • Ensure Bizman training is conducted as required with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Punch Tool Management.
      • Ensure Logikal is implemented, and the data systems updated with accurate information at all times. 

    RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

    • Provide feedback to Technical Department on required system upgrades.

    ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING

    • Complete sales and demand forecasts and actual sales analysis for the different market segments on a month-by-month basis.
      • Sales performance report.
      • Sales analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS

    KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Grade 12 with at a series of short and longer course certifications. 
    • Valid Code 8 driver’s license. 

    EXPERIENCE

    • 8 years’ Technical Sales experience in the aluminium profiles, -systems and –accessories industry.
    • 5 years estimating, quoting and tender experience.

    KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience in the aluminium profiles, -systems and –accessories environment or similar.
    • Proficient in estimating Software at an advanced level.
    • Proficient in SAGE / Pastel Evolution, or similar, at an intermediate level.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD at an intermediate level. 
    • Knowledge of AAAMSA and SAGGA regulations.
    • Experience in, and understanding of, thermally broken systems. 
    • Awareness and understanding of the ISO Standard requirements relevant to the position.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work well under pressure.

    Warehouse Supervisor - Kempton Park

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The purpose of the role is to oversee and supervise all aspects of warehouse operations, to optimize the warehouse's efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of orders whilst upholding stock control measures and safety protocols.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

    WAREHOUSE CONTROL

    • Strategically control the warehouse in conjunction with the company’s policies and strategic objectives.
    • Control receiving, picking, packing and distribution processes effectively.
    • Control day-to-day operations of the warehouse to achieve Departmental objectives and targets.
    • Cost management of all warehouse activities.
      • Identify opportunities to reduce warehouse costs and implement processes to achieve these savings, in conjunction with the Branch Manager. 
    • Employee relations management of warehouse employees.
    • Maintain effective working relationship with sales teams in terms of job scheduling and resource management to ensure satisfactory service to clients.
    • Responsible to inspect stacking and storage practices in the warehouse in line with the General Safety Regulations (Annexure A)
    • Assist in another position if there is an operational constraint. 
    • Assist with driving responsibilities, including driving a company vehicle, if hold a valid driver’s license.
    • Manage temporary labourers’ costs and staffing, within company guidelines.
      • Ensure adequate staffing requirements in the warehouse.

    STOCK CONTROL

    • Ensure stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
      • Stock reflecting on SAGE must be in saleable condition.
      • Management of all non-stock items (in-and out). 
    • Oversee, complete, and ensure stock takes are conducted and system deviations are inspected, as required. 
    • Ensure that all stock is correctly and neatly located, binned, and maintaining a tidy display of the products. 
    • Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated accordingly. 
    • Control and minimize scrap and ensure authorisation before any items are scrapped.
      • Ensure silicone is discarded according to environmental legislation.
      • Ensure Touch up spray is discarded according to environmental legislation.
    • Setup warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
      • Ensure all stock items are allocated to bins.
      • Ensure all bins are labelled correctly. 
    • Ensure all stock is packaged according to company procedures to prevent damage.
      • All stock in bins to be neatly wrapped to prevent damages. 
    • Conduct stock counts, as required.

    DISTRIBUTION CONTROL

    • Control logistics function, ensuring all orders are dispatched timeously, including:
      • Manage freight forwarders and ensure timeous collection from couriers.
      • Ensure routes are planned and optimized to minimize delivery times and costs.
    • Control dispatch quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
    • Ensure dispatch accuracy as per Invoice, on time and in full, as per Dispatch Procedures.
    • Ensure IBTR’s (Inter-Branch Transfers) are completed as per company procedures.
    • Check and verify shipping records, manage queries on shipping shortages or overages timeously.
    • Ensure uptime of fleet to deliver on customer service requirements, including:
      • Preventative/ad hoc maintenance and readiness for unplanned downtime.
      • Ensure all vehicles are serviced as per service schedules.
      • Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed weekly as per company procedures. 
    • Ensure all drivers comply with the Road Traffic Act and/ Or AARTO that the delivery fleet is compliant with any associated regulations and/or other legal requirements.

    ADMINISTRATION

    • Produce operational reports and statistics monthly.
    • Order PPE for employees, according to company processes, in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
    • Any other warehouse administrative tasks as required by the Branch Manager.

    SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL

    • Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
    • Ensure the warehouse maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
      • Always maintain high standards of housekeeping.
      • Ensure PPE is always worn in the warehouse.
    • Participate in any Integrated Management System activities as required. 
    • Identify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
    • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. 
    • Always maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Picker And Packer - Kempton Park

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The core purpose of the role is to ensure the effective picking of goods from the picking list against customer orders and packing of goods onto shelves according to company standards.

    PICKING

    • Ensure accurate picking of stock according to picking slip.

      • Indicate name, date, weights, dimensions, and signatures on all picking slips, as required.
      • Indicate and communicate any anomalies on the picking slip.
      • Indicate and communicate any product quantity and colour differences on the picking slip.

    PACKING

     

    • Ensure accurate packing of stock into correct areas/bin locations.
    • Ensure effective wrapping of the product according to company procedures, to ensure protection of the product.
    • Ensure correct stock is submitted to dispatch area.
    • Prepare products for shipment or delivery.
    • Pack and load products onto vehicles according to company specifications.

    WAREHOUSE ASSISTANCE

    • Ensure that all stock is correctly and neatly located, binned, and maintaining a tidy display of the products.
      • Ensure adherence to stacking and storage requirements at all times.
    • Perform the loading and unloading of products from vehicles and containers.
    • Assist with the receiving of stock as required.
    • Accompany drivers on deliveries to provide assistance with offloading or loading products at customer sites.
    • Conduct stock counts.
    • Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, tidy, and sanitary warehouse environment.
