    AR Specialist

    Job Description

    • A leading national logistics and supply chain company is looking for an experienced AR Specialist with strong experience in managing debtors, reconciling accounts, and resolving queries, preferably within a high-volume transactional environment, to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure accurate and timely collection of outstanding debts by maintaining strong client relationships, processing payments, and escalating overdue accounts.     Responsibilities:

    • Generate and distribute accurate invoices for logistics services.
    • Accurately apply customer payments to outstanding invoices.
    • Manage debtor accounts and actively pursue collections of overdue payments.
    • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Investigate and resolve billing queries and disputes promptly.
    • Assist with credit checks and credit limit management for clients.
    • Prepare and provide various accounts receivable reports (e.g., aging analysis, collections).

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance AR efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting.
    • 3-5+ years of proven Accounts Receivable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel.
    • Thorough understanding of AR principles, procedures, and credit control.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM), including engines, transmissions, braking, and lighting systems.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance, test drives, and follow inspection procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce repeat failures within the section.
    • Maintain accurate service records, manage parts inventory, and ensure compliance with housekeeping and maintenance standards.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
    • 5 years’ experience in the mining industry
