    Senior Invoicing Specialist

    • We are seeking a Senior Commercial Invoicing Specialist, South Africa to join our Invoicing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all necessary functions to ensure customer satisfaction. Primary activities include evaluation of customer queries, coordination of an appropriate invoicing and reporting back to Head of Department.

    TEAM YOU BELONG TO

    • You will join the Invoicing Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Management, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors, Clients, Supply and the Sales Team.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide excellent response to end users and sales managers 
    • Process customer queries accurately and in a timely manner
    • He/she will also be responsible for preparing invoices for the delivery of goods or services rendered.
    • Responsibly for credit and debit notes
    • Establish and maintain a good company image within territory by providing exceptional customer service, a professional attitude and up-to-date knowledge of systems that will be used
    • Resolve invoice related problems, discrepancies, and customer-related issues working with sales and product support teams
    • Demonstrate cooperative team effort within the solutions group and the team
    • Position requires excellent customer relations skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
    • Demonstrates dependability and punctuality

    Senior Quotation and Order Management Specialist

    • We are seeking a Senior Quotation and Order Management Specialist, South Africa to join our Quote and Order Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all necessary functions to ensure customer satisfaction. 
    • Primary activities include evaluation of customer inquiries and compatibility with Metso parts and services, coordination of an appropriate quotation considering price/margin/delivery, proposal follow up, support of outside sales efforts, sales order entry, order coordination, and order backlog management of orders until completion.
    • You will report directly to the Head of Quote and Order Management Africa.
    • This position is mainly located in Centurion, South Africa.

    You will join the Q&OM Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Management, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors, Clients, Supply and the Sales Team.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Provide excellent response to end users and sales managers when taking purchase orders and answering requests for pricing, delivery, product and technical information
    • Process customer inquiries, proposals, and enter orders accurately and in a timely manner, clean quotation, and sales order entry
    • Prepare customer quotations based on application, specifications, costs, and pricing guidelines
    • Accumulates costs of parts via computer system history, inquiries to purchasing and/or production estimating department and estimating costs based on experience with similar/same type of parts
    • Evaluates vendor quotes and shop cost estimates
    • Establish selling prices of parts based on previous history, evaluation of customer, evaluation of the market, and company objective margin
    • Responsible to expedite all activities on proposals through daily communication with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Shipping and Accounting to meet the customer’s requirements
    • Administers order entry of customer purchase order and provides required back up information to all other departments involved in the order execution

    MLB Product Support Engineer

    • This position assures a high competence to give specialist Product Support within Metso, and towards end customers, on Mill Lining Solutions.
    • Primary activities will include Product Support on Metso installed Mill Lining, design of New and Optimised mill lining offerings, and technical on-site support regarding application and grinding process support, related to Mill Lining.
    • The Product Support Engineer will participate with end customer teams onsite, MA teams and Global Business line teams, in terms of Optimised mill linings
    • In this position, you will report to the Consumables BL, Mill Lining, Product Support Manager 
    • This position is mainly located in Centurion, South Africa.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Technical and Product support on Metso mill lining services.
    • Proposal design of Optimised mill linings, in support of MA TSS and Sales teams, wrt. continual installed liner design improvements.
    • Proposal design of New mill lining targeted customers and Win Plan creation.
    • Work with Global Product Engineering and Applications teams, to generate value-add proposals.
    • Installation and Inspection support on site.
    • Enhance Internal and end customer competency development, by providing product training programs, and regular product updates.  
    • Present technical proposals to end customers, where required by MA Team.
    • Warranty support and handling of customer complaints, in support of MA TSS team.
    • Extensive travel within MA Africa, as well as international travel.
    • Customer opportunity pipeline development with MA TSS Team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

    INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERFACES

    • End Customer on site teams, including Engineering and Process teams.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Diploma / Degree in Engineering.
    • Minimum 5 plus years field experience with the related metallic mill lining and Mill Lining products.
    • High demand on technical product specialist knowledge, including mill lining design.
    • High demand on process and application knowledge.
    • Experience in complex matrix relationships
    • High understanding of and experience of support role.
    • Familiarity with the broad range of Metso Grinding Equipment.
    • A general understanding of core communition processes of end customers.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Position requires good customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and drive to achieve PL results.
    • High sense of urgency and passion for service and support
    • A high level of computer skills is essential – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
    • A high level of Mill lining design and application skills.
    • Good competency in Autodesk Inventor (preferred) or Solidworks software.
    • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously under stress and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
    • Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
    • Ability to travel regularly

    Chief Mechanical Engineer, Flotation

    Introduction

    • We are seeking a Chief Mechanical Engineer to be part of the Services Engineering team in Beneficiation, Dewatering, and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) business line, in the Services business area. You will be responsible for service delivery engineering on upgrade and modernization projects, sales projects, and service offering development for Flotation technologies.
    • The Chief Engineer is responsible for engineering designs, including the preparation of specifications, drawings, and reviewing and approving work performed by co-workers and externals. In addition, excellent interpersonal skills are required in developing cooperation with the Flotation Product and Delivery Groups. You will report to Arlu Vorster, the Manager of Mechanical Engineering.
    • This position can be located in Espoo (Finland), Centurion (South Africa), Lima (Peru), or Sala (Sweden), but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, role involves up to 30% of travel to customer sites.

    What you’ll do

    • Performing engineering and design activities for service upgrade & modernization projects, in co-operation with external engineering providers.
    • Executing engineering activities utilizing established processes, tools, and guidelines.
    • Executing project activities (engineering, package management, and project engineering) and preparing deliverables to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets.
    • Participating in the development of engineering tools and templates.
    • Supporting Services sales cases and proposals with preliminary/basic engineering input.
    • Providing engineering support to the Services Product Group in developing new service products.
    • Developing collaboration with Flotation Product and Delivery Groups.
    • Participate in / perform asset walks, when required.
    • Participate in site works such as inspections, installation supervision, and commissioning support, when required.

    Who you are

    • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in the mechanical engineering field
    • 8+ years of experience in relevant engineering discipline(s), of which min. 5 years of experience in Flotation products.
    • Experience in engineering and design, with drawing checking and approval duties.
    • Site / Field (service) experience with Flotation products is an advantage
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant engineering tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EDM & Enovia)
    • Exposure and/or experience in package/project engineering (or Project Manager) duties
    • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and solve problems effectively
    • Ability to successfully work with others in a matrix from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economic, technical, and social environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
    • Self-motivated approach and ability to work independently.
    • Full working proficiency in English
