- Manage and oversee the implementation of the LandCare Programme. Manage and monitor sustainable agricultural resource management initiatives, including soil conservation, land rehabilitation and climate-smart conservation agriculture practices.
- Manage integrated land use planning in accordance with the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act (CARA), the Preservation and Development of Agricultural Land Act (PDALA) and other applicable legislation.
- Manage implementation and reporting of the Expanded Public Works Programme within the LandCare Programme in compliance with applicable EPWP policies, guidelines and reporting requirements.

MINIMUM - COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge and experience in Communications, publication and/ or information services. A portfolio of previous publications will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Corel Draw, and Microsoft Office. Good Communication with excellent organizational and writing skills and ability to interact at high profile levels.

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 and a recognised Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced National Diploma (NQF7) qualification in Communications Studies / in Graphic Design/ Audio-Visual Production/ Media Studies/ or related field, with a minimum 3 years’ experience at Assistant Director level.
DUTIES
- The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor the production of the external provincial government publication. Manage the production of the internal staff bulletin.
- Manage proof reading and editing services for documents and publications. Manage the design of corporate materials for the Department.
- Manage the audio-visual services for the Department. Manage human and financial resources of the Production and Publication Unit.

MINIMUM - COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the legislative environment applicable to government finance and supply chain management and the development, implementation and monitoring of related policies and procedures within a government environment.
- Excellent supervisory and operational management skills. Good interpersonal relations and written & verbal communication skills. The ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and to prioritize work in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of relevant prescripts (PFMA, Treasury regulations, BBBEE Act, PPPFA). Leadership, communication, financial management, planning and execution skills. Knowledge and experience on BAS. Knowledge of LOGIS and PERSAL will be an advantage. A valid driver’s license.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 plus a recognised Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma qualification in Internal Control/Accounting/Auditing or any related fields. A minimum of 3 years’ experience at Assistant Director level in finance.
DUTIES
- The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing Internal Control and Compliance functions within the department.
- Facilitate identifying, recording, investigation, reporting and appropriate disclosures of Fruitless & Wasteful Expenditure, Irregular Expenditure, Unauthorised expenditure and Losses & damages in accordance with National Treasury prescripts and frameworks. Developing and monitoring compliance to financial delegations, financial policies and procedures. Review internal and external audit reports/audit findings.
- Identify internal control weaknesses, recommend mitigations and monitor implementation of mitigation plans. Manage development of audit action plans, monitoring implementation of audit action plans across the department and the preparation of financial statements.
