    General Assistant - Sheetfed & Digital

    • Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a General Assistant within the Press - Sheetfed department. The successful incumbent will report to the Shift Leader - Press Sheetfed & Digital.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Responsible for assisting the Printers to obtain the correct quantities of commercially acceptable printed sheets
    • Assist the Printers in attending to defects
    • Assist with maintenance
    • Adhering to standard operating procedures
    • Ad-hoc tasks include general housekeeping and general assistant duties from time to time

    Educational Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent 

    Experience Requirements    

    • Working experience of Offset Web Press or Sheetfed would be advantageous 
    • Experience in handling and preparing reels of paper would be advantageous 

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Sound communication skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Must be prepared to work shifts including weekends

    Bindery Administrator

    • Novus Print: Montague Gardens - Web is seeking to appoint a Bindery Administrator within the Bindery department.  The successful incumbent will report to the Operations Manager.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Ensure all administration work is up to date and accurate.
    • Attend to enquiries and incoming work requests,
    • Typing, checking, and distributing documents and correspondence.
    • Adhere to internal policies and procedures to ensure quality standards and on time delivery.
    • Prepare bindery staff planning requirements.
    • Assist Bindery Manager with short term departmental project implementation.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction through the offering and delivering of high standard work,
    • Organise and Coordinate meetings

    Educational Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent

    Experience Requirements    

    • 3-5 Years’ experience and expertise in the Bindery environment will be advantageous 

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Ability to stay calm under pressure
    • Methodical and thorough approach to work
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Detail orientated and high degree of accuracy
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
    • Highly organized and flexible
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
