    QA Engineer

    Based in Johannesburg, you will be required to support our highly experienced and international development team by designing and running test scenarios to improve the quality of the finished product. You will build on your solid technical background and develop your knowledge and experience in general software test methodologies including requirements gathering, functional tests, customer scenario testing, test plan and test case creation and, stress, performance and scalability testing. After the relevant training you will also be required to support the customer facing technical helpdesk to meet the needs of Out There Media’s operations with our customers in South Africa. You will become knowledgeable and proficient in using our mobile advertising platform, using your development skills to investigate problems reported to the helpdesk.
    Your responsibilities include:

    •  Running test scenarios and test scripts
    •  Contribution to design and creation of test scenarios and scripts
    •  Contribution to technical documentation
    •  Assisting with the implementation of QA standards and continual improvement activities
    •  Providing 1st level support for technical queries by investigating and recreating reported defects

    Educaton and qualification requirements:

    •  Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
    •  Good knowledge of SQL programming language
    •  Good coding skills
    •  Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    •  Knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle
    •  Knowledge and understanding of general software testing methodologies
    •  Familirity with technical documentation writing (UML)
    •  Quick learner
    •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    •  Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and/or in a team
    •  Ability to complete tasks, handle challenges, think creatively and provide quality solutions within tight deadlines and budget

    Ad Operations Specialist

    Based in Johannesburg you will work closely with Europe and South Africa teams and our clients to plan and execute mobile advertising campaigns in African markets. This is a high-impact, revenue and process driven role that requires international coordination and communication with advertising clients, stakeholders and other internal departments.

    Your responsibilities include:

    • Day-to-day management of mobile advertising campaigns, ensuring campaigns are run with precision and efficiency
    • Managing campaign approval and creative delivery processes between clients, operator partners, internal creative and technical teams
    • In depth analysis of campaign results and translating findings into results for clients and stakeholders, managing communications and client expectations effectively
    • Actively recommending and implementing campaign optimization strategies if and as needed
    • Support sales teams in identifying new business opportunities and proposing mobile advertising campaign strategies that can meet and exceed client goals
    • Collaborating with product development team to improve product design by communicating client expectations, campaign management needs and industry trends

    Skills and Qualification requirements:

    • 5+years working experience in advertising, within account servicing. Background in mobile or online media is a must
    • Experience working in Programmatic, RTB, DSP, SSP, DMP is a plus
    • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Online, or related fields
    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Proven relationship-building skills, with high client and quality focus. Ability to meet client needs and solve problems creatively
    • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to undertake multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Sharp eye with keen attention to detail
    • Strong interest in new media, communications, marketing/advertising, innovations and technology
    • Comfortable to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
