    Assistant Manager: Internal Audit

    Description

    • Senwes is looking for an Assistant Manager: Internal Audit to execute, review and sign off risk-based internal audits that strengthen governance, internal controls and risk management across the Senwes Group. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements, mentoring junior auditors, and ensuring audit activities are aligned with professional standards, business objectives and regulatory requirements.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Execute and manage risk-based internal audits.
    • Review, sign off and monitor the quality of audit engagements.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop audit programmes.
    • Strengthen governance, internal controls and compliance.
    • Provide coaching, training and technical support to internal and trainee auditors.
    • Maintain audit documentation and ensure adherence to audit standards.

    Requirements

    • Qualifications and experience: Degree in Auditing, Accounting or a related field. Completed SAICA articles. Minimum 2 years' relevant audit experience. Candidates with experience working in an internal audit environment will receive preference. Experience conducting risk assessments and executing audit engagements. Working knowledge of SAP and related business systems. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for audit engagements, where required.
    • Skills: Internal Audit methodology.  Risk assessment and risk-based auditing. Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). Internal controls evaluation. Audit planning and execution. Audit report writing. Working paper review and quality assurance. SAP auditing and business systems knowledge.

    Electrical Engineer

    Description

    • Senwes, a leading agricultural company, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering and Property Assets Department.
    • The purpose of this role is to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and equipment across Senwes agricultural operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability.

    In this position, you will be responsible for:

    • Conducting feasibility studies and analysing electrical requirements for agricultural projects and infrastructure developments.
    • Designing electrical systems, including power distribution networks, control panels, and automation solutions using CAD software.
    • Managing the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
    • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance strategies, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting electrical systems to minimise downtime.
    • Performing root cause analysis on electrical failures and implementing corrective actions to improve system reliability.
    • Evaluating energy consumption patterns and implementing energy efficiency initiatives, including renewable energy and sustainability solutions.
    • Monitoring energy usage data and recommending improvements to optimise operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Developing and managing electrical engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
    • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and alignment with operational requirements.
    • Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards through audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

    • Professional certifications and relevant licenses will be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • At least 4–5 years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
    • Proven experience managing electrical projects from conception to completion.
    • Experience in industrial plant environments and SAP Plant Maintenance will be advantageous.
