    Intake Manager

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • To plan, organize and control the activities in the Intake department, site pest control & bran and chop scheduling and schedule management

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Manage weighbridge and scale calibrations aligned to the National Regulator for Compulsory specifications (NRCS) and Trade Metrology Act; 
    • Manage equipment services, calibration certificates and breakdown history;
    • Preventative maintenance in place and in line with DMS schedules;
    • Budgeting, motivation and implementation of Capital Expenditure and Major Repairs & Maintenance projects;
    • Develop and manage departmental Five Year Facility Plan;
    • Manages grain receipt and stock movement;
    • Co-ordinates and manages daily, weekly and monthly stock counts;
    • Declares and reconciles wheat & maize stocks;
    • Identifies, investigates and resolves stock variances;
    • Compiles and manages grain orders and off-loading to ensure no demurrage changes are incurred;
    • Initiate and report on Continuous Improvement projects;
    • Maintain consumable stock levels (fumigants & pesticides);
    • Prepare and manage annual production budget from zero base;
    • Ensure compliance to quality specifications and Grading Regulations;
    • Maintain FSSC 22000 & ISO 14001 programs;
    • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices;
    • Maintain the Grain Receipt and Stock Management Procedure;
    • Co-ordinate staff training needs and keep a register / evidence of training conducted;
    • Establish and agree IPA’s.  Review and keep record of performance on a quarterly basis;
    • Ensure company policies, procedures and job profiles are available and adhered to;
    • Implement and maintain good housekeeping and sanitation standards;
    • Maintain fumigation treatments in accordance with schedules; 
    • Ensure duties are carried out in accordance with the PCO letter of appointment;
    • Conduct monthly Pest control audits and follow-up on non-conformances raised;
    • Co-ordinate and trend insect sighting’s, prioritize and implement corrective actions for the purpose of continuous improvement;
    • Attend fumigation refresher training and maintain PCO registration with the DoA;
    • Implement, maintain and review the Railway Regulatory system;
    • Train staff and ensure compliance to the Railway Safety Regulations; 
    • Maintain the wheat grouping and binning procedures to ensure optimal grist consistency;
    • Assure that labour relations are handled according to company policy and legislation in your department to assure sound labour relations;
    • Responsible for health-, hygiene- and safety standards in this department within laid down policies and relevant legislation;
    • Liaise with Procurement department on raw materials (wheat & maize) on quantities and qualities required for milling;
    • Liaise with Spoornet and delivery contractors to assure that raw materials arrive on planned dates;
    • Scheduling and schedule management and customer liaison of bran and chop sales.

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Core knowledge – Diploma/degree in agricultural business, with Grade 12 Mathematics & Science.  Qualified wheat and maize grader.  Certificate in grains bag, bulk, circulation & structural fumigation and registered as a PCO with DoA.  
    • Excellent computer literacy essential:  Excel and Oracle.

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • You will create an environment that is conducive to Tiger Brands continuous improvement in the fields of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental compliance, enabling Tiger Brands to achieve its objectives in the above-mentioned fields of legal compliance and social responsibility. You will implement and maintain the international safety and environmental management systems and ensure the site adherence to all SHE related legislation

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • You will facilitate the identification of site risks with the HODs and lead the documentation of the risk assessment matrices. The Risk Manager is required to drive capability building for SHE at the site with the support of the SC Academy and HRD Personnel. He / She is the custodian of safe working practices. The candidate will ensure that all work is carried out according to SHE policies, standards, and procedures by implementing a behavioral based safety program on site. They are further required to supply SHE guidance and support to the site and monitor compliance through the facilitation of SHE incident investigations being conducted and following-up on actions completed. Root cause analysis tools will be utilized for identify and implementing preventative actions for SHE.
    • Adjust the system in such a way that the system is tailor made for each type of operation and activity.
    • Update the system as changes occur within legislation.
    • Update the system as changes occurred at Tiger Brands Manufacturing sites

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • You are responsible for applying financial & costing Analysis expertise to drive continuous improvements in the factory/Manufacturing unit in order to maintain and improve operating efficiencies, reduces costs and improve sustainability. You will act as a custodian for the procure to pay process, production batch and management as well as stock management process

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Compile, assist and maintain mass balance systems for all cost centers.
    • Ensure that paper transaction records are maintained and filed accordingly.
    • Maintain back flushing process,
    • Training production staff to complete basic system transactions to ensure that proper governance processes are followed. Assist in developing SOPs in this regard as and when the need arises,

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • You will be responsible for the accurate and timeously calculation and loading of the fully absorption cost for all SKU’s. You will also be responsible for the monthly reporting and validation of including but not limited to product mix, volume, conversion cost, productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing expense, summarize key findings and draw management’s attention and support for action. Conducting required cost review and valuation of stock and ensuring compliance with internal control requirements.

    Working with Procurement to ensure accurate costs

    • Responsible for the accurate and timeously calculation of the Fully Absorption Cost for all SKU’s. Thereby ensuring that all aspects of the manufacturing process are taken into account and reflected correctly on the ERP system
    • Accurate and timeous loading of new bills of material for the Manufacturing units, based on the Costing Pack
    • Accurate and timeous loading of change to existing bill of materials
    • Monthly reporting and validation of yield , purchase price and manufacturing variances
    • Conducting required cost review and valuation of stock
    • Monitor and control manufacturing expenses
    • Ensuring compliance with internal control requirements
    • Calculate the savings realised for cost savings projects based on the actual production volumes
    • Develop the reports and review with Finance Manager Costing for approval before sending them to unit and supply management.
    • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in factory. Seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives validate and review proposed savings. Partner with Engineering to manage costs and review capital proposals.
    • Compile reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period end close, and promoting ownership of data at source); and dynamic forecasts for the factory; ensure transparency of this process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed
    • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the factory budget with factory management; Perform revisions or simulations if needed. Work with team members to develop new product costing in accordance with costing standards.
    • Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organisation of major strategic decisions relating to the factory
