    Senior Brand Manager Knorr Soups & Snacking

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The Senior Brand Manager plays a key role in the development & growth plan for Knorr in South Africa via taking responsibility for mix development and deployment. The Senior Brand Manager is tasked with managing the execution of the Soups, Bouillons and Snacking brand marketing plan, ensuring consistency with brand strategy, brand keys, and brand communication plan as well as improving brand equity, awareness, and penetration of Knorr. They also need to support the Senior Marketing Manager in supporting and developing the team

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Champion Knorr’s Brand Purpose in both “say” and “do”
    • Lead and contribute to the development of long-term brand strategy and its yearly revisions during the annual planning cycle.
    • Support the achievement of Knorr Soups, Bouillons and Snacking category targets by performing operative and strategic marketing tasks in collaboration with partner departments in order to future proof the portfolio.
    • Understands and uncover root issues and opportunities across the 6P’s
    • Build a deep, holistic consumer understanding of the sub-category which will serve as the cornerstone of both the long-term strategy and the annual plans.
    • Manage the local execution of the brand marketing plan, ensuring consistency with brand strategy, brand keys, and brand communication plan set by Global
    • Craft and coordinate communications and activations in close cooperation with agencies, Shopper Marketing, CCD and Digital.
    • Act according to brand key vision, key visual development based on guidelines, adaptation of international TVCs, media planning and campaign implementation.
    • Build and nurture good, challenging and constructive relationships with cross-functional project teams, CMI, trade marketing and sales.
    • Contribute to the development of financial plans, create BCs together with Finance, and monitor Brand P&L, brand power scores, and market shares.
    • Cooperate with Supply Chain. Provide assumptions for long-term volume forecasting in the S&OP meetings.
    • Continuously monitor brand performance, initiate discussions and analysis with relevant departments to improve performance - represent real ownership.
    • Management of Distinctive Brands Assets within agreed targets, working with an agency, global and guiding full brand team.
    • Management of Digital, working with the agency as a single point of contact and guiding full brand team
    • Lead and coach 1 individual Junior Brand Manager that leads Soup (Packet soups, Cup A Soup, Cup a Snack)

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Degree / Relevant Tertiary Qualification
    • 5 years of proven experience in the areas listed below:
    • Proven track record in project leadership & category management delivering innovation, renovation and BLG’s OTIF.
    • Good understanding of Profit & Loss and Brand Metrics (Brand Power, Market Share etc)
    • Consumer and customer focus – having a curiosity about our consumers with the ability to uncover insights and translate these into actionable plans ensuring work is collaborated and executed closely with Agency partners, Media and Digital team, CCD, SM, R&D and Supply Chain to deliver results.
    • Have a “hands-on” approach and demonstrate the ability to get into the detail and show results.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service Excellence Planning and Logistics: This is a challenging but enjoyable juggling act. You will need to estimate the future demands of our customers, then synchronise the combination of thousands of materials with production line availability to create our many products.     Senior Data Scientist

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    You are a data scientist with a passion for data, data science, AI and ML, demonstrating an understanding of the advanced data science models and their application into the business. This role will focus on understanding and optimising the Unilever UKI Business, building advanced and repeatable data science models that enable the business to make better decisions, drive 4G, and gain a competitive advantage.

    Main accountabilities:

    Unilever Internship Programme - Customer Development

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Channel & Category Development: Consolidate and drive category growth (eg. Laundry) through the execution of relevant activities (activations) and innovations. You will work with finance on managing category budgets and ensure category profitability.     Unilever Internship Programme - Finance

    Main purpose of the role:

    Deliver integrated volume demand plan (0-18months rolling) for his/her portfolio

    • Manage supply and stock availability of finish products as per IPM
    • Ensure stock availability per each Market for his/her portfolio
    • To follow up the S&OP process

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Validate with CD&BB an integrated volume demand plan (0-18months rolling) for his/her portfolio
    • S&OP: correct assumption regarding to the portfolio, together with relevant people (S&OP members) to determinate the estimated volumes & to upload the data into APO system
    • Reviews historical sales and market data at appropriate level of detail and horizon (Actual vs. Plan - Deviation Analysis) to challenge proposed forecast
    • Understands past assumptions and follow the data clean up with CG Team
    • Understands and propose statistical models, depending on historical patterns and horizons
    • Reconciles top-down, bottom-up demand shaping and share variation trend on monthly basis
    • Understands and records demand drivers and assumptions behind baseline forecast, identifies risks and opportunities
    • Deliver KPI’s targets (Forecast BIAS, Accuracy, DR, Obsolete, etc.)
    • Ensure stock availability per market for his/her portfolio
    • Management of innovation/relaunches
    • Understands warehouse and transportation capacity planning
    • Highlight potential supply risks and ensure clear communication into MSO
    • Stock shelf life management (in stock): monitor stock age profile vs. gross requirements on monthly basis (to update provisions)
    • Obsolete management (avoidance): identify obsolete risks, initiate and follow through required actions to avoid obsoletes
    • Obsolete disposal management, determine obsolete provision on monthly basis
