    Sr. Consultant, Sales Engineering

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a seasoned, technically strong Sales Engineer to support the sale and successful adoption of Pismo’s cloud‑native card processing, card management, core banking, and lending solutions. In this role, you will drive the sales cycle by providing deep technical expertise, delivering persuasive product demonstrations, and guiding clients through how Pismo’s platform can be configured to meet their business and operational needs.
    • You will work closely with the sales team to articulate Pismo’s value, translate complex payment and card‑management capabilities into clear client benefits, and support prospects in understanding their core product setup. This role requires strong knowledge in payments, hands‑on experience with card management platforms, and the ability to bridge client requirements with Pismo’s technical capabilities. Your goal is to ensure the sales team is fully equipped to successfully position and sell Pismo’s end‑to‑end processing, issuing, core banking, and lending solutions.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Serve as the lead technical partner throughout the pre‑sales lifecycle, translating client business and operational requirements into scalable solution designs on Pismo’s card management platform. Demonstrate and position end‑to‑end solutions across credit, debit, and prepaid products, leveraging a solution‑architecture background to shape product configuration, integration patterns, and migration approaches. Guide customers on API and webhook integrations, ensure alignment with ISO 8583 financial message formats, and orchestrate seamless interoperability with issuer processing, core banking, and downstream value-added services.

    Product Positioning & Communication:

    • Effectively communicate the business and technical value of the Pismo platform across card issuing, card management, and core banking capabilities. Use strong communication and presentation skills to help prospects understand how Pismo’s modern platform can solve their operational challenges and business strategies.
    • Sales Support: Provide technical sales support throughout the sales process, including responding to RFPs, creating technical documentation, and addressing technical queries.
    • Product Demonstrations: Conduct detailed and tailored product demonstrations to prospective clients, clearly translating complex concepts into compelling capabilities of the platform.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with market teams, solutions and global products teams to relay client feedback and influence the Pismo platform’s roadmap.

    Implementation Partnership: 

    • Ensure a smooth transition from pre‑sales to implementation by delivering a clear, comprehensive Technical Design Document that accurately captures the agreed solution scope. Partner closely with the implementation team to prevent scope creep, provide clarity on product configuration and integration requirements, and support a timely, successful go‑live aligned with client expectations.
    • This is a hybrid position. Expectations of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or any other engineering.
    • 10 or more years of work experience with payments and/or core banking solutions
    • Experience conducting product demonstrations and presentations
    • Previous experience with SaaS services and Cloud technologies
    • Proven experience working with major financial institutions in the region, with a strong background in selling or solutioning core banking, payments, and card‑issuing platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of technology, including programming languages (Java, PHP, Phyton, Golang Etc.), web services (REST, HTTP, FTP, Etc) .
    • Demonstrated ability to partner with peers & seniors in other functional areas and across global regional teams (especially establishing rapport and credibility with product owners and technical architects);
    • Ability to work independently within a complex and competitive environment and manage multiple initiatives.

    Senior Manager AE - MS&A & Fintech (Portuguese)

    Job Description

    • Visa's Merchant Sales and Solution Team is seeking a Merchant Sales and Solutions Senior Manager who will have responsibility for driving in-market acceptance efforts of a new mobile payment solution. 
    • Senior Manager – Merchant Services and Acquiring has the responsibility of driving growth and development of meaningful and profitable merchant relations in Angola and Mozambique markets, specifically being accountable and owning on key markets from a Merchant Servicing and Acquiring perspective. In addition, this role is responsible for working with the Head of Merchant Sales and Acquiring and the Group Country Manager/Country Managers on industry & regulatory initiatives and interchange management for the region.
    • Senior Manager – Merchant Services and Acquiring Solutions executes on the implementation of agreed merchant acceptance strategies that grow the penetration of electronic payments in this geography to drive the increase of Merchant Sales Volume (MSV) via implementing the new payment solution and building strong working relationships with client banks, key merchants and third party partners. The role is also responsible for understanding and communicating local market needs in order that the CEMEA Hub, Digital Team and Global Merchant Sales and Solutions organizations are able to effectively and efficiently define market specific strategies required to manage strategic and complex Acceptance issues.

    Key Results Areas

    • Develop and execute the merchant acceptance, merchant relations and partner strategy for the region to increase Visa MSV, market share, data processing revenues and create acquirer, merchant and consumer preference for Visa.
    • Partner with the Head of Merchant Sales and Acquiring and the Group Country Manager/Country Managers to execute on Nano Merchant Acceptance Strategy which will transform the landscape over a 3-year horizon.
    • Drive acceptance of Visa payment solutions in the Angola and Mozambique market, with a focus across various business segments, key among them top tier and marquee merchants
    • Secure and close leading deals with Fintech's across the region to drive non traditional transformation of the payments landscape in Angola and Mozambique.
    • Take the lead in negotiating large Strategic Partnerships with key clients and or partners to ensure that Strategic Imperatives are met.
    • Develop strong market relationships with key Fintech's and Merchants meant to protect and grow Visa business and brand standing with these merchants
    • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key Fintech's and Merchants with the aim of ensuring Visa relationship adds value to clients
    • Support the Director to execute on the fintech issuance, merchant acceptance, merchant relations and partner strategy for Angola and Mozambique, increase Visa MSV, market share, data processing revenues and create acquirer, merchant and consumer preference for Visa.
    • Play a hands-on role in the deployment and go to market of a new mobile based technology solution.
    • Development of new initiatives/solutions, implement marketing/usage initiatives targeting traditional and new merchant segments, both in physical world and virtual world, with a focus on mobile based acceptance solutions. 
    • Establish and foster relationships with Clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of staff and senior management.
    • Understand client needs, solution deployment requirements in different environments and develop models of engagement that are easily replicable across organizations with similar characteristics for faster onboarding.
    • Support local Client Sales and Digital Teams with their sales and enablement efforts. Maintain current knowledge of technologies, products, services, methods and applications and implement new approaches and practices as required.
    • Maintain and build rapport with Digital and functional teams across Visa Inc. to exchange, learn and leverage best practices.
    • Local market and regulatory knowledge and functional experience in acceptance, merchant acquiring, interchange management, consulting, financial transaction processing knowledge and client sales, preferably Visa, supporting highly complex clients and/or services within a highly matrixed environment
    • • Established networks at decision making levels with a strong business-to- business sales track record.
    • This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

    Years of Experience:

    • A minimum of 8 years of success in progressive leadership positions in the Payments industry
    • Education (required): Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
