    Pepkor CVM Account Manager

    Role Profile:

    The Senior Accounts Manager: Pepkor Customer Value Management position is based within the Consumer Business Unit.

    The successful candidate will need to manage the Vodacom and Pepkor customer base. The candidate will be required to align strategies from the various PEPKOR subsidiaries to ultimately grow the revenue on the Vodacom PEPKOR base. The candidate will be responsible for engagement at Strategic levels and execution.
    Measurements of success will include revenue growth, ARPU, Data active customers, reduction in Churn. Some of the channels to be included are PEP, Ackermans and Flash.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for managing strategic accounts and delivering  profitable, sustainable business
    • Ensures delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of full product mix
    • Establishes appropriate relationships with customers in Vodacom and leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from Vodacom customers
    • Works collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts

    Provide input to help with decisions about new propositions, product mix and services for customers
     

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 8+ years experience in Account Management
    • A 3-year commercial (BCom/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
    • Intermediate SQL, data analysis (advantageous)
    • Direct Campaign Management Principles (preferred)

    OR

    • Matric / Grade 12 essential
    • A 3-year commercial (BCom/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification essential
    • 5+ years experience in Account Management essential
    • Intermediate SQL, data analysis (advantageous)
    • Direct Campaign Management Principles (preferred)

    Experience in Customer Value Management and relationship management with a track record of Account Management & Sales experience
    A thorough understanding of Retail & Informal Environment especially BOP/Mass Market and networking technologies and services & solutions
    Knowledge required of campaign management and system tools.
    Individual Thinking and Judgement required for the role – focus on delivery of Multi-step, multi-channel campaigns across payment types, automated and in volume.
    Strategic Elements of Role – direct impact of CVM revenue contribution targets through campaign execution and delivery on time, budge, quality.
    Operational Accountability and impact on service to customers – direct impact on customer service and experience through campaign execution quality on payment types
    Scale of Influence – Immediate revenue impact through campaign commercial performance.

    Key Account Manager

    Role Purpose

    The purpose of the Key Account Manager is to run the end to end Key Account Management of key business partners within the Consumer Business Unit Sales Channels.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    1. Sales Planning and Execution

    • Develop and implement the sales plan for respective channels aligned to the business strategy.
    • Deliver sales presentations and proposals to executive levels and boards of directors;

    2. Revenue and Margin Growth

    • Develop and implement plans to increase net sales revenue across both prepaid and contract across relevant channels.
    • Ensure margin growth by managing discounts, tariffs and product/channel/segment mix.

    3. Channel Partner Management

    • Identify and propose new channel partners
    • Manage and support existing channel partners

    4. Reporting and Feedback

    • Accurate reporting and feedback of performance against targets.

    5. Stakeholder and Relationship Management and  Customer Service

    • Build strong relationships through proactive interaction with customers at all levels.
    • Oversee the calling plans of the outsourced Account Managers/Service Managers and other teams
    • Ensure a good Customer Experience with all customer interactions
    • Ensure that SLA’s with customers are adhered to at all times
    • Internal Stakeholder management with various business areas
    • Regional relationship management with the various Regions.

    The ideal candidate will have:
     

    • 3-5 years experience in Field Marketing, Key Account Management or Sales 
    • Preferable knowledge in the telecoms arena
    • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships
    • Forecasting and Planning is essential 
    • Financial and commercial acumen 
    • Matric
    • Degree/ Diploma, with
    • At least 3 years relevant experience

    Investor Relations - External Reporting

    Role Purpose:

    Responsible for integrated reporting guided by the principles and requirements in the International Financial Reporting Standards, (IFRS); the International <IR> Framework, the King IV Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa; the JSE Limited Listings Requirements; the Companies Act, and the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI’s) Sustainability Reporting Standards. In so doing, managing the collection, interrogation and reporting of strategic cross functional KPIs, including ESG, relevant to the business and in accordance with best practice. 
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership 

    • Research reporting standards for integrated reporting and develop plans for implementation of new requirements
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders
    • Assist senior management and strategy team in setting integrated goals and objectives for the business
    • Assist investor relations in preparation of external reporting materials

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience

    • Stakeholder management - critical
    • Good writing and communication skills - critical
    • Advanced levels of experience in financial and business analysis
    • Experience in management and board reporting
    • Ability to package financial, strategic, operational and ESG information into key messages

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Matric is essetial.

    • At least 8 years’ experience in a finance related environment which can include articles
    • Advanced levels of experience in financial and business analysis 
    • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Advanced skills in Hyperion – advantageous
    • CA (SA) – advantageous

    Project Manager

    Role Purpose:

    • The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing, and reporting on strategic projects from planning through to completion, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget. This requires the managing of several moving projects simultaneously. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Project Management Attributes:

    • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
    • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
    • Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
    • Track project milestones and deliverables.
    • Managed International delivery projects
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
    • Provide a weekly & monthly Project Progress Dashboard.
    • Maintain project document repository and ensure version control.
    • Maintain/Track/Update Risk and Issue logs.
    • Maintain/Update project plan from team inputs.
    • Creating slides/presentations for Vodacom Senior Leadership Team.
    • Identifying, managing and mitigating project risk.
    • Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
    • Manage Meeting Action Points.
    • Arrange, schedule and take minutes at meetings.
    • Distribution of documents / information to project team members and other stakeholders.
    • Works with Program Manager to provide dedicated assistance in delivering multiple, simultaneous projects in the Vodacom OpCo’s. 
    • Weekly Project Reports.
    • Drawing Reports and follow up on Data Integrity Issues.

     

    Core competencies and Attributes:

    • Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies.
    • The ability to implement a structured project management methodology and control delivery against project scope.
    • Ability to define clear project objectives and work with the teams to deliver on project.
    • Experience in working with teams that are mostly external to South Africa.
    • Proven skill in producing accurate project forecasts throughout the program/project life cycle.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • High level of competence in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Microsoft Visio & Project.
    • Able to produce high standard and mostly image based PowerPoint presentations.
    • Possessing a responsible attitude, tact, patience, and courtesy.
    • Comfortable working on numerous, smaller size pieces of work.
    • Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric/Grade 12 (or SAQA accredited equivalent);
    • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent
    • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
    • Knowledge of techniques and tools
    • Experience as a project manager
    • Proficiency in project management software 
    • Mobile Network and technology experience is a plus
