    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent and qualified individual to manage and provide psychological services to residents within the Directorate Facility Management and where indicated conduct group interventions.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist. Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as a Psychologist in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa; or a minimum of 1-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.
    • Grade 2: A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Psychologist in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa; or a minimum of 9 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.
