    Buyer Associate

    Key Responsibilities

    • To ensure the service level to our customers is maximized through a combination of efficient purchasing, at the best possible price
    • Develop supplier relationships for a given product set: ensure suppliers always provide information related to deals and promotions and use this information to negotiate better deals. This relationship can be supported by regular meetings where necessary
    • To negotiate at any opportunity, to maximise margins, ensuring best price
    • Liaise with sales teams to communicate any issues arising with their orders
    • Clear and concise interaction with all company departments; notably the sales department
    • Ensure purchase orders are loaded correctly to enable quick payment of invoices
    • Ensure all changes to purchase orders are recorded on the system
    • Liaise with warehouse to ensure any issues can be resolved in a timely fashion
    • Provide cover for other members of the department as necessary and perform other tasks if requested from time to time by the Category Manager
    • Support less experienced members of the team in the education of best practice

    Knowledge and experience

    • Experience of working in a procurement role, ideally within IT (Understanding of core CDW vendors, beneficial)
    • Experienced in dealing with suppliers and contractors, and negotiations to ensure best cost and quality
    • Excellent numeracy skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
    • Highly motivated with ability to work under own initiative, making decisions to benefit the business
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
    • Microsoft Office skills, preferably including: Excel and Word but not essential

    Tax Associate Senior

    • CDW’s recent growth has brought with it additional complexity in the field of tax compliance and planning. In this role, you will provide crucial support across all taxes for CDW’s UK and International businesses. Supporting the Indirect Tax Manager with management of the VAT compliance cycle across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, ROW), you will: 
    • Run regular data reports from the accounting system and tailor these into the required spreadsheet format for ease of review and inclusion in periodic VAT returns. 
    • Analyse, cleanse and manipulate VAT reporting data to assist with more effective and efficient identification of errors or incorrect reporting. 
    • Assist in communications with accounts payable and treasury teams to ensure timely and accurate payment of all VAT liabilities. 
    • Collaborate with other teams (e.g. accounts receivable, credit assessment etc) to ensure that customer master data is accurately maintained for VAT reporting purposes. 
    • Contribute towards continuous process improvements to aid automation and compliance. 

    You will also be required to support the UK Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager as and when necessary, in connection with the following tasks: 

    • Preparation of UK and international corporate tax and withholding tax returns. 
    • Monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting to CDW US. 
    • Tax input into UK statutory financial statements. 
    • Tax forecasting for UK and International entities. 
    • Maintaining transfer pricing documentation. 

    What you need to succeed: 

    • Experience of working in a finance-related role, preferably tax-related 
    • Experience of working within a large MNC would be beneficial 
    • Good Excel skills are crucial 
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritize tasks effectively. 
    • Self-motivated with the confidence to interact with senior members of the organization. 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). 
    • Excellent organization and time management skills. 
    • Ability to present data in a concise manner and draw conclusions/insights from that data 
    • Natural curiosity and willingness to find and fix problems.
