    Care Worker- NRC Ballito (Durban North)

    Requirements

    • Requirements and Experience
    • Grade 12 level of numeracy and literacy
    • A Minimum of 1 year experience within a similar role is preferred.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience in renal will be advantageous.
    • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.

    Key Performance Areas (KPA)

    Ensure the safe and optimal operation of the dialysis service by following these guidelines:

    • Clean dialysis machines before each patient's dialysis session, following policies, procedures, and NRC standards.
    • Ensure that the unit generator works by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections, logging technical issues, and refuelling the generator with diesel as needed.
    • Adhere to all financial policies and procedures in the unit, particularly regarding stock and waste management.
    • Provide excellent customer service and patient care by ordering and serving meals to patients according to their dietary requirements and NRC policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to daily infection control and occupational health and safety standards.
    • Stay updated on healthcare worker functions in the unit and continuously educate yourself.
    • Test the machine alarms before each dialysis session to ensure they are operational and contribute to a safe dialysis environment.

    Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)- NRC Northern Acute (Pretoria)

    Requirements
    Requirements and Experience

    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)
    • Experience in renal nursing is a strong recommendation.
    • Capacity to implement and maintain health practice standards required by accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
    • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills required.

    Renal Care Specialist- NRC Area Eastern Cape (Eastern Cape)

    Requirements

    Requirements and Experience

    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Nephrology Nursing or BTech Degree in Clinical Technology essential
    • Relevant experience in renal nursing is considered a must for this position.
    • The capacity to implement and maintain health practice standards required by accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
    • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.

    • The effective functioning of the training academy in your area i.e. all programs are implemented and are being trained in line with the training schedule.
    • Unit Leader clinical training, i.e., the implementation of focused clinical training based on the clinical results of the unit.
    • The complete implementation of the following in the area under management: i.e. Clinical Needs Analysis, Clinical training plan/In-Service Training, Patient Education and Research, 
    • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures in the units under your management.

    Operations Manager- NRC Area Eastern Cape (Eastern Cape)

    Requirements
    Requirements and Experience

    • Diploma/Degree leading to a qualification as a Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist:
    • Independent Practice
    • Post Basic Diploma in Nephrology will be advantageous
    • Business qualifications or equivalent would be preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in renal unit management
    • Minimum experience of 5 years in a regional management role
    • Proven track record in liaising with doctors, patients and staff
    • Must be computer literate
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle
    • Must be able to travel

    • Responsible for the budget and effective and efficient management of all equipment, consumables, etc. in the region under your management.

    • Ensure efficient running of the operation and business through real time solutions based on statistical analysis and that all customer complaints are dealt with effectively
    • Ensure the continued education, training and development of the management team in your area and continuous medical education of the staff in your region. i.e. BSC, case studies, research.
