    GC - Netball Coach (Part-Time)

    Requirements

    • This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be paid a fixed term contract according to their expertise and coaching level. The Girls’ College invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from January 2026. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.

    The requirements for this position are: 

    • A minimum of 3 years of coaching experience
    • A high level of personal netball experience in school, university, and a club environment. Leadership experience is preferable
    • Be able to assist within the school’s Athletic Development and Physical Education Programme
    • Be well acquainted with the Microsoft and Google suite applications
    • A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to fostering and building inclusiveness and diversity.
    • An awareness of and willingness to commit to the school’s all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate before employment can commence
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    The role will include the following:

    • Attend all Girls’ College team practices.
    • Attend tournaments and festivals for the Girls’ College over weekends.
    • Minimum Level 1 coaching
    • Umpire’s grading (recommended)
    • Netball knowledge and experience of schools /senior level coaching

    GC - Swimming Coach (Part Time)

    Requirements

    • This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be paid a fixed term contract according to their expertise and coaching level. The Girls’ College invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from 1 January 2026.
    • Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.

    The requirements for this position are: 

    • A minimum of 2 years coaching experience at Open level.
    • A competitive level (post matric) or coaching experience in a school, university or club environment is preferred.
    • A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to fostering and building inclusiveness and diversity.
    • An awareness of and willingness to commit to the school’s all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate before employment can commence
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    The role will include the following:

    • Daily morning training sessions as well as one gala day per week
    • Availability for all training and galas
    • Be involved in the Learn to Swim program
    • Coaching and management of a swimming team – Setting up team lists etc
    • Working with other swimming coaches
    • Individual and holistic development of students as social and high-level athletes

    GC - Senior English Teacher

    Key responsibilities of this role include:

    • A recognised degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification with at least 8 years’ teaching experience
    • A passion and vision for English
    • A sound and progressive understanding of international trends and changes in girls’ education and 21st century learning
    • Experience in leading change, transformation and diversity initiatives within the English curriculum
    • The desire to be part of a dynamic team
    • Superior planning, organisational and reporting skills
    • Experience teaching English at the FET level, preferably up to Grade 12 level
    • Teaching at an IEB school and NSC marking experience will be advantageous
    • Experience and expertise in guiding students to reach their true potential
    • Create classroom communities where all members of the class are valued, and contribute to the creation of knowledge
    • Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice
    • Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) and technology skills
    • Noteworthy time management and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge in creating varied and innovative learning programmes and assessment
    • Interest in cross-curricular and interdisciplinary work
    • A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as to participate in the broader life of the school, including extramural activities
    • Proof of registration with SACE
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
