    Reporting Accountant (Stellenbosch)

    Purpose Statement

    • To prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and enabling the business to create sustainable value by gathering financial information that provides insights that support key decision-making.

    Experience

    Operational Support Specialist

    Purpose Statement

    • To play a critical role in enabling the performance of teams across Business Support, providing tactical and operational systems support through monitoring and reporting to ensure systems remain stable and reporting is accurate and to minimize downtime and maximize and optimise departmental performance.

    Experience

    Min:

    Analyst: AML Investigations Business Bank

    About the role 

    • To execute daily operational activities within the Business Bank AML Operations environment, including enhanced due diligence, investigation of suspicious transactions, name and payment screening, reporting, and quality assurance, thereby implementing and administrating legal and statutory requirements for the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (“FICA”), Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act 33 of 2004 (“POCDATARA”), Prevention of Organised Crime Act 121 of 1998 and all related legislation, within Capitec Bank

    Experience

    Our Ideal candidate

    • At least 2-3 year’s investigative experience within a business banking environment within an AML environment

    Forensic Investigator

    Purpose Statement

    • Under the guidance of the Manager: Forensic Investigations or Manager: Insurance Fraud, investigate instances of risk related to various types of fraud incidents across Capitec (e.g. external fraud such as credit application fraud for Capitec Bank and policyholder or claims fraud for Capitec Insurance. This will include internal fraud, serious breach of policies and procedures, and criminal syndicates). Investigate the matter, the parties involved and provide appropriate evidence for disciplinary hearings and/or criminal proceedings. Identify control weaknesses and recommend preventative measures, improvements, and training initiatives against potential fraud.

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • 3 plus years’ experience as a Forensic Investigator/Auditor 

    Ideal: 

    • Proven experience as a Forensic Investigator/Auditor in the Financial Services Sector

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
