    Senior Manager: HR Operations

    The position of Senior Manager: HR Operations is vacant. The Senior Manager HR Operations will report directly to the Chief Corporate Services Officer. The position is based in Pretoria and is a permanent position for employment.

    The total remuneration package will be market related and is negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.

    The Senior Manager HR Operations will execute and manage the overall operational HR strategy and human capital services, including day to day management of HR operations, ensure that the Scheme is serviced proactively. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of human resources policies and practices throughout the organization to support strategic objectives and to ensure legal compliance.

    In addition, the incumbent will conceptualize, develop, implement and manage the Human Resources function, supporting the Chief Corporate Service Officer through the implementation of the following Key Performance areas:

    • Lead the HR Operations division and oversee all day-to-day HR Operations Implement best practices and ensure HR operational services across the organization. Develop and enforce HR
    • Policies and procedures.
    • Manage the total rewards program including compensation, benefits, rewards and recognitions.
    • Conduct Salary benchmarking, analyze market trends, and structure competitive pay bands. Partner with leadership on rewards strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    • Develop an effective recruitment strategy to acquire top talent. Manage recruitment process for executive and leadership roles.
    • Enhance onboarding and off boarding programs for a positive hire to retire experience. Oversee employee wellness programs, interventions, and engagement initiatives.
    • Lead employment relations strategy and oversee collective bargaining agreements. Build partnerships with stakeholders to foster positive employee relations.
    • Mediate disputes and conflicts to maintain a healthy workplace. Drive Employment equity and transformation initiatives
    • Develop and execute the EE Plan to meet diversity and inclusion goals.

    •  Divisional reporting – Establish HR Metrics and reporting to demonstrative impact of HR programs.
    • Prepare reports for executive team, board and various stakeholders.
    • Manage HR Systems, analytics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
    • Lead adoption of self-service tools and technologies to optimize HR Service delivery. Develop internal communications plans and campaigns to support HR goals.
    • Collaborate cross functionality to ensure alignment with corporate messaging. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all HR policies and Activities.
    • Lead ethics and corporate governance initiatives as they relate the HR.

    Qualification requirements are:

    • Minimum a 3-year Degree/ BTech, Bachelors, Advance Diploma (NQF level 7) in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology or similar
    • A related postgraduate qualification will be beneficial
    • Must have previous remuneration and benefits experience
    • Minimum 5 – 8 years’ work experience; 5 of which must be at a management level. At least 3 years’ experience with SAGE or a similar payroll system.
    • Demonstrates integrity by modelling the Scheme’s values and ethical standar

    • Extensive knowledge of writing and presenting HR policies and procedures Excellent research and data interpretation skills.

    ICT Data Steward

    The position of ICT Data Steward is vacant. The ICT Data Steward will report directly to the Senior Manager: Data Warehouse Analytics and BI and form part of the Information and Communication Technology Division. The position is based at Head Office, Pretoria.

    The total remuneration package will be will be based on qualifications and experience.

    The ICT Data Steward will be required to support the Senior Manager: Data Warehouse Analytics and BI through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

    • Monitor data Quality KPI’s such as completeness, uniqueness, timeliness, validity.
    • Identify root causes for gaps and implement automated data quality controls and workflows.
    • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective management of data assets.
    • Establish data quality standards and guidelines and monitor adherence to ensure data integrity.
    • Conduct regular data audits to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance best practices and provide guidance on data management processes.
    • Design and implement data governance tools and technologies to streamline data management and improve data quality.
    • Develop data classification and categorization schemes to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential data.
    • Collaborate with ICT teams to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Identify areas for improvement in data management practices and recommend solutions to enhance data governance.
    • Provide training and support to staff members on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in data governance and recommend innovative approaches for data management.
    • Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum
    • Establish necessary forums/ committees to ensureeffective Data Governance.

    Qualification requirements are:

    • A Degree/ Diploma in BCom Informatics / BSc Computer Science / BSc Engineering Information Technology, or similar
    • Certificate in Data Management like CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), CDMPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) or DAMA or similar
    • 5+ years of working experience with data
    • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience as Data Governance Analyst, Data Steward, or Similar role
    • Proven working experience with MS Purview will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of MS Azure, SQL, ETL/ELT, Analytical skills and Power BI will be desirable.
    • Proficiency in data profiling, data lineage, and metadata management tools.
    •  Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations and their implications for data governance.
    • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management practices, and data quality concepts.
    • Ability to manage other resources such as data users ;
    •  Ability to participate and influence technical decisions in a fast-moving environment;
