    Assistant Head Ranger (PH_Forest_Ranger)

    OUTPUTS:

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operations
    • Maintain changes to service and delivery of products
    • Attend to guest requests or complaints promptly and in an appropriate manner
    • Maintain all equipment and vehicles used by his/ her department.
    • Strictly adhere to all regulations stipulated in the Comprehensive Field Guides’ Manual.
    • Ensure daily weather reports are done
    • Ensure game reports are done and faxed on a daily basis
    • Keep abreast of current conservation issues
    • Ensure that all guests are taken on walks and that regular specials are organised
    • Ensure that all safety precautions are taken with regard to guests on game drives
    • Maintain regular communication and good relations with the Lodge Manager, Camp Manager and other relevant heads of department, informing of any changes regarding guest activities
    • Report any issues or discrepancies to Management immediately 
    • Attend and participate in meetings
    • Stay current regarding guiding issues within andBeyond and conservation issues of interest generally
    • Health and Safety Responsibilities
    • Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
    • Check and identify any potential hazards in the workplace and take appropriate action to minimize the risk from them
    • Report any hazards identified and any actions you have taken
    • Perform any other reasonable task as requested

    KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    • Achieved the Inkwazi Ranger Course
    • Must have FGASA Level one
    • Drivers licence with valid PDP
    • First Aid
    • Grade II walking qualification preferable
    • Grade II assessor qualification – fantastic!

    PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of 2 years previous guiding with andBeyond essential.

    Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager (BH_WI_Manager)

    • The Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer, and will be responsible for identifying new fundraising partnership opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and driving funding sustainability through aligned, values-based collaborations. The Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will work closely with programme, communications, finance, and leadership teams to translate impact into compelling partnership propositions and measurable outcomes.
    • As a key ambassador for Wild Impact, the Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the organisation’s reputation, credibility, and long-term impact across its conservation and community portfolio.

    KEY OUTPUTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Wild Impact’s South African, regional and global teams to identify, establish and nurture private, public and corporate donor-based impact partnerships.

    This will include, inter alia:

    • Grant prospecting and proposal development - identification of potential private, public and corporate donors; drafting of clear and persuasive proposals; and copywriting and proofreading.
    • Budget & financial alignment - Preparation and refinement of budgets, together with the Operations and Finance teams, to ensure budgets align with proposal narratives, activities, timelines, human resources, and financial allocations.
    • Monitoring, evaluation and integrated learning – Preparation and refinement of results frameworks, together with the Operations and Impact Insights teams, including the inclusion of project specific Theories of Change, Log Frames and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks.
    • Knowledge management & process coordination – Development and maintenance of relevant Wild Impact proposal and reporting templates / boilerplates; and the coordination of proposal and reporting processes; preparation and presentation of fundraising and partnership reports as required, including regular Board reports.
    • Analytics – Maintenance of a live database of global and regional private, public and corporate donors engaged in Wild Impact’s focus areas, tracking of philanthropy trends to inform fundraising strategy.
    • Compliance – Ensuring compliance with Wild Impact’s policies regarding funding sources, confidentiality, data handling, etc.

    COMPETANCIES:

    • The Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will be expected to demonstrate a very high work ethic and commitment; to be consistent, professional and diplomatic; and to be able integrate into, and support, a diverse, multi-cultural team.
    • They will need to be highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple donor relationships and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • They must have a successful fundraising track record, with well-established network and the ability to raise over R 50 000 000 per annum within 3-years.

    • 5+ years of experience in proposal development and grant writing, including public, private and corporate funding streams. 
    • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate interdisciplinary teams.
    • Knowledge of donor requirements, compliance standards, and proposal formats.
    • Passion for community-based work and conservation.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Sandton office-based role, with extended hours.
    • Extensive travel within South Africa, regionally and internationally, including remote locations and potential uncomfortable working conditions.

    Digital Fundraiser (BH_WI_Fundraiser)

    • The Digital Fundraiser will play a critical role in nurturing donor relationships, improving and strengthening Wild Impact’s digital fundraising capability in alignment with the organisation’s values, and Impact Vision. As a key contributor to Wild Impact’s resource mobilisation strategy, the Digital Fundraiser will help ensure sustainable funding for conservation and community development initiatives across the organisation’s landscapes and seascapes.

    KEY OUTPUTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategic Planning 

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy.
    • Identify and analyse trends, opportunities, and challenges in the digital fundraising landscape.
    • Set clear objectives and KPIs for digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the Wild Impact’s overall vision and goals.

    Campaign Management 

    • Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns, including email, social media, and online events.
    • Oversee content creation, ensuring messaging is compelling, culturally relevant, and resonates with target audiences.
    • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.

    Donor Engagement 

    • Ensure professional engagement with key donors online and provide a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
    • Utilise data-driven insights to segment and target donors effectively, enhancing personalisation and donor retention.

    Partnership Development 

    • Identify and establish partnerships with digital platforms, influencers, and other organisations to expand Wild Impact’s reach and fundraising potential.
    • Collaborate with the partnerships and communications team to integrate fundraising efforts with broader organisational campaigns.

    Budget Management 

    • Manage the digital fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximising return on investment.
    • Explore innovative and cost-effective digital tools and platforms to enhance fundraising efforts.

    Compliance 

    • Comply with Wild Impact’s policies regarding funding sources, confidentiality, data handling, etc.

    Graphic Designer (BH_WI_Designer)

    • This role plays a critical part in reinforcing Wild Impact’s brand identity and nurturing a strong, values-driven organisational culture through visually compelling and purposeful design.

    KEY OUTPUTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Multi-Page Document Design (Adobe InDesign – Core Skill)

    • Design Annual Reviews, profiles, reports, brochures, manuals, and product guides using strong layout principles.
    • Build consistent styles across large documents with paragraph and character styles.
    • Use grids, margins, master pages, and proper text threading to ensure structure and flow.
    • Prepare documents for print using correct bleed, slug, and pre-flighting protocols.
    • Manage linked assets for efficient file handling and high-resolution output.

    Product Photo Retouching & Photomontages

    • Retouch product images for colour, clarity, and presentation using Photoshop.
    • Create photomontages from prototype imagery to show how products appear in real-world use.
    • Use clipping paths, masking, and background removal for clean compositions.
    • Apply lighting and shadow adjustments to make composite images feel natural and realistic.

    Infographics & Visual Content

    • Design clean, modern infographics in Illustrator that simplify complex concepts.

    • In-depth, detail-oriented knowledge of prepress processes, paper specification, colour management and large-format file preparation.
