    HR Generalist

    Job Description

    The company employs a diverse workforce with a strong skill set in engineering, we are seeking an experienced HR Generalist that can assist with the following tasks:

    • Support all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
    • Provide guidance and assistance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
    • Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes
    • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records
    • Assist with the Coordination and support employee engagement initiatives and training and development programs
    • Contribute to the organization's talent acquisition efforts by assisting in recruitment processes
    • Collaborate with the Payroll Officer to administer employee benefits, leave management, and payroll coordination
    • Prepare and upon approval, submit Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to MESETA
    • Monitor, document, and report Injury on Duty (IOD) incidents in compliance with relevant legislation
    • Compile and upon approval, submit EE and BEE reports
    • Assist in tracking and reporting on Health and Safety compliance within the organization

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant field
    • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
    • Proficient in HR systems, tools, and administrative processes
    • Strong understanding of South African labour legislation, including BCEA, EEA, and LRA
    • Familiarity with the metal industry is advantageous

    Site Manager - Installation Engineering

    We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead one of our two site installation teams. In this role, you will oversee the onsite execution of ventilation projects, working closely with our mechanical engineers who manage and design the installations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a company experiencing significant growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Manage daily site operations for ventilation installation projects
    • Lead and coordinate a dedicated site installation team
    • Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and safety protocols are met
    • Liaise effectively with mechanical engineers and project managers, production manager and draftsmen.
    • Visit sites with mechanical engineers and draftsmen to understand projects requirement before commencement of the installation.
    • Initiate the quickest possible solutions to complete tasks on hand
    • Plan projects timeously including hiring of installation equipment e.g. crane, cherry picker, scissor jack, scaffolding etc
    • Arrange safety files of each installation and making sure that the team adheres to safety standards of each installation
    • Monitor and report on project progress and resolve on-site issues
    • Maintain a high level of communication with stakeholders and subcontractors

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • A minimum of a matric certificate is required; a tertiary qualification will be considered an advantage
    • Proven experience in site management within mechanical or HVAC projects
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering plans
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
    • Ducting experience is a must

    Construction Project Administrator

    • The company employs a diverse workforce with a strong skill set in engineering. We are currently seeking a Construction Project Administrator to join our team.

    Key Responsibilities :

    Project Procurement

    • Review project requirements, bills of materials, drawings, specifications and procurement schedules.
    • Identify procurement requirements and establish purchasing priorities based on project timelines.
    • Obtain quotations from approved and potential suppliers.
    • Evaluate supplier quotations in terms of price, quality, lead time, technical compliance and commercial conditions.
    • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
    • Ensure procurement activities remain aligned with approved project budgets.
    • Monitor long-lead and critical-path items and escalate potential delays.
    • Maintain a project procurement schedule and provide regular status updates.
    • Coordinate procurement requirements between Building Management with support to  Engineering, Production, Stores
    • Assist with sourcing alternative materials or suppliers where required.

    Buyer Administration

    • Create and maintain accurate purchase orders within the ERP system.
    • Ensure purchase orders contain correct specifications, quantities, prices, delivery dates and agreed terms.
    • Process supplier quotations and supporting documentation.
    • Maintain procurement files and ensure appropriate documentation is available for audit and project records.
    • Maintain supplier and purchasing records.
    • Follow up outstanding purchase orders and maintain accurate expected delivery dates.
    • Assist with resolving discrepancies relating to pricing, quantities, deliveries and invoices.

    Supplier Management

    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
    • Request and compare quotations to ensure competitive procurement.
    • Negotiate, where authorised, pricing, lead times, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
    • Monitor supplier performance relating to quality, delivery and responsiveness.
    • Escalate supplier performance issues to the Supply Chain Manager.
    • Assist with supplier evaluations and the development of approved supplier information.
    • Identify opportunities for alternative suppliers, cost reductions and supply-chain improvements.

    Project Cost & Delivery Control

    • Monitor procurement expenditure against approved project budgets.
    • Identify cost variances and communicate potential budget impacts.
    • Track committed procurement spend.
    • Monitor supplier lead times against required project dates.
    • Identify procurement risks that could affect production or project completion.
    • Provide procurement status reports to Project Management and Supply Chain Management.
    • Assist with expediting critical and overdue materials.

    ERP / Sage X3 V12 Administration

    • Maintain accurate procurement information within Sage x3 V12 ERP system.
    • Create and maintain purchase orders, supplier information and relevant procurement records.
    • Ensure purchasing transactions are processed accurately and timeously.
    • Maintain accurate delivery dates and order status information.
    • Assist with procurement reporting and data analysis.
    • Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and ERP utilisation.

    Required Qualifications & Experience:

    Minimum requirements:

    • Grade 12 / Matric.
    • Procurement, Supply Chain, purchasing qualification is advantageous
    • Proven experience in procurement, buying or purchasing administration.
    • Experience within a, construction or project environment, is highly advantageous.
    • Experience with an ERP system; Sage X3 V12 experience would be advantageous.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Experience in obtaining and analysing supplier quotations.
