    Administration Clerk Patient Affairs

    Requirements :

    • Grade12 with One-year functional experience in a hospital environment, good communication skills, good interpersonal relations, client orientation and customer focus, ability to handle and manage confidential information and have sufficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
    • Execute any other relevant tasks upon instruction by the supervisor when necessary. Able to work under pressure. Adapt to rotational changeover when necessary.

    Duties :

    Driver

    Requirements :

    Minimum requirement:

    • Grade 10 certificate or equivalent. (3) three-years’ experience as a driver. The candidates should have problem solving skills and good interpersonal relations.

    Requirements :

    • The post requires the incumbent to provide subspecialist services in colorectal surgery.     Head of Clinical Unit (Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging)

    Requirements :

    • Valid registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology.
    • Qualifications in the field of Diagnostic Radiology.
    • Should be in possession of either FC RAD D or M Med Rad (Diagnostics).
    • Possession of a PhD will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience after registration as a Medical Specialist.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • To be responsible for service delivery within the department of Diagnostic Radiology at DGMAH. To fulfil the administrative, academic and research requirements of an appointment to the Joint Staff Establishment with Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.
    • To supervise pre-and post-graduate training in the Diagnostic Radiology Department at DGMAH. To set and conduct examinations at both undergraduate and Masters levels.

    Requirements :

    • MBChB, FCP (SA) or MMed Internal Medicine. Current Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine and/or Subspecialist in Gastroenterology/Endocrinology/Rheumatology/Medical Oncology.

    Head of Clinical Unit (Intensive Care Unit)

    Requirements :

    • MBChB or equivalent qualification. Registration with HPCSA as a specialist in Anaesthesiology or Internal Medicine. Proof of registration with the HPCSA as a Subspecialist in Critical Care (Adult) or Pulmonology.

    • The post requires the incumbent to provide a subspecialist service in the Critical Care Department. Overall governance, including clinical governance of the general critical care services.
    • Overall strategic and operational management of the adult critical care services of the hospital. Provision of high-quality critical care services at an academic hospital. To ensure maintenance of standards of care and implementation of quality improvement programmes within the department. Monitor implementation and compliance with policies and procedures for intensive care services.
    • Ensure supervision and support of rotating registrars, sub-specialty trainees and trainees from allied and other services that the ICU cannot function without. In cooperation with the HOD, lead training and formal teaching in the department. Promote multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of available resources in the Intensive care unit. To oversee and manage the integration of the pre-ICU patient management with the critical care unit to achieve and sustain acceptable waiting times in line with existing norms and standards for ICU. To develop relationships with other academic ICUs and facilitate cooperation between the units. To conduct and promote critical care relevant research.
