    Chief Operations Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the company.
    • Ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of Processing, Feeds, Retail, and Fleet operations.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer in setting and driving the company’s vision and mission, operational strategies, and hiring needs.
    • Oversee managerial performance and implement improvements or corrective measures where necessary.
    • Ensure that the company maintains a satisfactory competitive position within the industry in collaboration with CEO.
    • Deliver detailed reports, including real-time updates and future forecasts.
    • Keep the CEO well-informed of all day-to-day operations and developments.
    • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance by managing all necessary filings and processes.
    • Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or any other functions related to the office of the COO.
    • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met.
    • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders.
    • Contribute to shaping the long-term strategic direction of the company.
    • Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service, and encourages individual integrity.
    • Take a lead role in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and critical decision-making.
    • To develop in collaboration with the executive committee and directors, short- and long-term business strategies and plans.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 is essential.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; an Honours degree or MBA will be a distinct advantage.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior managerial role.
    • Experience within the poultry production environment will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
    • Proven experience and leadership capabilities at a senior management level.
    • Strong commitment to core values, integrity, and accountability in all business practices.
    • Exceptional negotiation and reasoning skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent team working skills.
    • In-depth understanding of financial principles, including profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow management, and budgeting.
    • Skilled in building strong relationships and fostering alignment among executives, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to portray an understanding of human resource management and personnel management.
    • Strong grasp of corporate governance principles.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, effectively manage time and priorities, and delegate when necessary.
    • Quick learner with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
    • Trusted leader who can inspire confidence across the organisation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Manager: Retail Store (Mahikeng)

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Ensure all business operations are conducted in accordance with the company standard.
    • Oversee and coordinate business operations of the retail store to achieve financial goals and operational targets.
    • Influence team members to be customer oriented, effective, productive and knowledgeable.
    • Build constructive and effective relationships with multiple departments and stakeholders.
    • Ability to identify areas for performance improvement.
    • Partnering with the Sales and Marketing division to support, validate and strategize marketing initiatives and events.

    Minimum Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12/National Senior Certificate is required.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Business Management qualification or relevant qualification will be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Retail Store Manager is required.
    • Retail experience managing multiple stores would be beneficial.
    • Excellent communication, organisational and strategy skills.
    • Leadership and decision-making ability.

    Assistant Manager (Mahikeng)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist with Stock management and control.
    • Help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Supporting the store manager in achieving sales targets.
    • Assist the store manager in supervising and managing the staff within the store.
    • Maintaining open and effective communication channels between the store manager, staff members and other departments.
    • Assisting in the implementation and enforcement of the store policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with the standards.
    • Administrative tasks such as Daily Cash Up, GRV’s, Purchase Orders etc.
    • Ensuring that the store environment is clean, organized and safe for both customers and employees, according to Health & Safety protocols.
    • Assist managing both the Henwil Chickens Retail Store as well as the Galito’s section.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 will be essential.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Excellent communication, organisational and strategy skills.
    • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends or as needed.
    • Experience in a busy retail environment will be advantageous.
    • Excellent administration skills.
    • Leadership and decision-making ability.
    • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy.
    • Must be able to work well under pressure.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.

    Supervisor (Galitos - Mahikeng)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure daily housekeeping is done throughout the whole restaurant.
    • Assisting and overseeing all the kitchen staff and their tasks.
    • Responsible for daily stock take.
    • Receiving and replenishing stock.
    • Communicate with management when stock levels are low.
    • Must be able to handle cash-ups.
    • Ensure that all station checklists ae being used and that there are no bottlenecks.
    • Liaising with customers regarding orders or complaints.
    • Assist management to achieve operational targets.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 will be essential.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Excellent communication, organisational and strategy skills.
    • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
    • Experience in a busy fast-food environment will be advantageous.
    • Excellent administration skills.
    • Leadership and decision-making ability.
    • Attention to detail is essential.
