    Safety Health and Environmental Manager

    Safety Health and Environmental Manager.
    We're excited to invite potential candidates for the Safety Health and Environmental Manager position with our esteemed client's team in Durban, specialising in manufacturing. With a minimum of 8 years' experience in SHE manufacturing and at least 5 years in senior management, you're the perfect fit for this role.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate.
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in SHE in a manufacturing environment.
    • At least 5 years’ experience at a senior management level.
    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or Environmental Management.
    • Valid Driver’s License (Code 08).
    • Advantageous: Additional certifications in HIRA, NOSA, SAMTRAC, ISO 14001, and/or OHSAS 18001.

    Roles and Responsibilities:
    Occupational Safety Management:

    • Develop and maintain a safety management system.
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure contractor compliance with safety regulations.
    • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe work practices.
    • Manage training records.
    • Chair the Safety Committee.

    Environmental Management:

    • Formulate and implement an environmental management system.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Prepare permit applications and reports.
    • Manage environmental impact and mitigation efforts.
    • Provide guidance on effective practices.

    Disaster Planning:

    • Lead the Emergency Response Team.
    • Promote emergency preparedness.
    • Develop and implement disaster plans.
    • Test and monitor disaster plans.

    Excellence in Compliance:

    • Implement and enhance SHE policies.
    • Conduct hazard identification and maintain records.
    • Propose improvement recommendations.
    • Conduct internal audits.
    • Ensure compliance with legislation.

    Audit and Risk Management:

    • Identify and evaluate potential losses.
    • Develop plans to prevent or mitigate losses.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents.
    • Manage corrective actions.

    Project Management:

    • Manage projects as required.

    Employee Development:

    • Engage with employees.
    • Provide training and development.

    Our client, a waste management company based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, is seeking a Key Accounts Coordinator to join their team.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate.
    • Beneficial: Relevant financial tertiary Diploma or Degree.
    • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions.
    • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly intermediate Excel skills.

    Roles and Responsibilities:
     
    Suppliers:

    • Communicate with all suppliers regarding monthly statements, invoices, and credit notes.
    • Keep suppliers’ information current and accurate in Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV).
    • Process supplier invoices on a monthly basis.
    • Distribute payments to suppliers on a monthly schedule.
    • Support with the daily Landfill report as needed.

    Soil Scientist / Agronomist

    Soil Scientist / Agronomist
     Our client, an environmental projects company, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Soil Scientist / Agronomist in the Technical Business Unit located in Irene.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BSc Honors or Masters in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Pasture Science, or Biology.
    • At least three years’ experience as an Agricultural / Agronomist / Environmental or Soil Scientist Consultant.
    • Report writing experience and skills.
    • Beneficial: Previous experience in an Agricultural or Mining consulting environment.
    • Proven experience in the analysis and interpretation of soil quality parameters.
    • Must be able to pass medicals, induction, and training certifications.
    • Must be able to execute fieldwork and physical manual labor associated with fieldwork for extended periods of time in outdoor environments.
    • Essential: Valid Driver’s License.
    • Must be willing to travel locally and abroad on occasions.
    • Must have a valid passport.

    Roles and Responsibilities:
