    Analyst Programmer/Designer II

    Job Purpose

    To translate macro design into detailed micro designs which will realise the business solution in their relevant areas of focus. Translate and communicate the required changes to the programmer community. Develop critical component parts. This job forms part of the Cash and Liquidity Full Stack Team in the Movements of Value Tribe responsible for the overall health and function of the systems under their control.  This involves all business and usual (BAU) tasks, innovation work and overall involvement in any other work that helps in advancing the squads goals

    Job Responsibilities

    • Analyse, advise and where necessary create technical design relevant to their domain and/or advise across product area.

    • Provide advice across business units on technological integration opportunities.•Implement learning's from post-mortem meetings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Incident Management - Investigating and finding solutions to incidents/outages logged from the different Nedbank channels. This could involve liaising with the different stakeholders within GT, cross functional teams and the bank as whole, making code changes to programs, their testing and ultimately deployment to production environments. Involvement in design reviews, architectural discussions and code reviews

    • Preventative Maintenance and Optimization - Investigations to system improvements that can be implemented to save cost and make system processing more efficient.

    • Client queries - Handling of queries from internal clients and making sure they are successfully investigated and resolved.

    • Focus sessions and Severities - Represents the Cash and Liquidity team in any bank wide outages to assist in their speedy resolutions.

    • Project consultations and Production signoff’s - Assistance and guidance supplied to projects or initiatives that are changing or adding new functionality to the Cash systems. Review of technical changes made by other teams to verify compliance with standards and norms of the team before implementations are done in Production

    • After hours support - Ensuring that all the systems supported are up and available at all times (24/7). Provide after hour’s support to resolve any program abends or system outages that may occur. Monitoring of data that is sent or received from other banks. Liaising and co-ordinating with the command centre to resolve any system interruptions that might occur.

    • Disaster Recovery - Recovery of the bank’s critical IT systems in the event of a catastrophic incident is of utmost importance therefore participation in these Disaster Recovery exercises when they are scheduled is compulsory.

    Senior Mngr: Organisational Resilience

    Job Purpose

    • To implement effective Business Resilience/ continuity controls and the tactical management of the business continuity planning processes; for the Nedbank group to ensure the continuous operations during any incident or disaster.

    Job Responsibilities - 1

    • Drive awareness of Business Continuity (BC) policies, strategies and frameworks throughout the Group through physical engagements, training and consultation sessions.

    Job Purpose

    To create and increase revenue and economic profit from new and existing clients in order to achieve the banks strategic objectives and create shareholder value.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).

    • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.. Green Strategy).

    • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
