    Supervisor Production

    Job Description    

    • To supervise the production shift team responsible to manufacture bread to the desired quality specifications, on time and in full within the required costs as per the bake plan, also maintaining the production equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure optimal bread production process efficiencies and effectiveness for consistent high-quality bread.
    • Ensure baking process delivers consistent high-quality products within specifications in collaboration with the maintenance manager.
    • Ensure high performance production shift team as per the Premier Way.
    • Ensure full statutory compliance to all health and safety and food safety requirements in line with Premier standards and SOP’s by ensuring training of relevant persons, observation, coaching and assessment of SOPs as per requirements and team educational plan.
    • Drive continuous improvement of bread production processes.
    • Support continuous operations and optimal working conditions by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address team issues and resolve problems.

    Qualification Requirements    

    • Grade 12 with numerical ability and PC Literacy - Essential
    • Chamber of Baking certificate - Essential

    Experience Requirements    

    • FMCG Plant Bakery Production supervisory experience (plant size minimum of 5000 loaves per hour) - 3-5 Years – Essential

    Other Requirements

    • Pressurized environment.
    • Must be able to work shifts.
    • Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
    • Overtime expected from time to time.

    Artisan Electrician

    Job Description    

    • To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and the plants on site which includes Electrical support.
    • To anticipate possible machine reliability problems, which could appear and take appropriate actions to ensure manufacturing process continuity.
    • To facilitate and lead problem solving processes; provide inputs/suggestions to the maintenance team leader for continuous improvement.
    • To record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system in order to motivate equipment improvement or purchases.
    • To render support on ad hoc projects e.g., renovate and refurbish machines/installations and commission in order to optimize process flow.

    Job Description    

    • To be responsible for the preassembly of product onto the delivery vehicles

    • Assembly of part pallet loads

    Transport Controller

    Job Description

    Key Outputs    

    • Ensure legal compliance and support OTIF deliveries by ensuring appropriate number of clean and roadworthy trucks per route according to the hygiene (FSSC 22000), AARTO SOP’s and RACI matrix requirements for the same.
    • To ensure cost effective deliveries through detailed fleet related expense tracking and monitoring, ensuring timely action of gaps identified to minimize cents per kilometer.
    • To ensure roadworthy vehicles through the management of preventative maintenance and ensuring annual “certificate of fitness” per truck on time and in full prior to expiry dates for the same in collaboration with corporate bakery distribution team.
    • To ensure a high performing transport team through the recruitment, training, coaching and supervision of the team responsible to clean and maintain trucks in line with the Premier Way.
    • To prevent theft, protect our fleet assets and support cost effective deliveries through ensuring fitment of trucks with vehicle monitoring systems by the preferred suppliers.
    • Minimize brand related risk caused by accidents and incidents through leading investigations of accidents.
    • Escalate reported incidents to the relevant driver supervisor for investigation.
    • Follow up on corrective actions.
    • Capture feedback on reported incidents to close the call.
    • Close procedural / process gaps with the relevant managers.
    • Liaise with the driver trainer on new training needs.
