    Sales Manager

    The Role:

    • The Sales Manager is responsible for driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth by transitioning Sandvik’s support approach from reactive to proactive, promoting all service portfolios (Rebuilds, Digitalization, Service Contracts, VMIs), and aligning customer service teams to build strong client relationships. The role includes resolving client issues, setting site-specific goals, and implementing personalized, solution-focused service strategies to support mining operations and boost sales.

    The Sales Managers will be responsible for the following:

    Main responsibilities:

    • Participate in and contribute to the development of the Sales Area aftermarket strategic plan
    • Ensure performance management processes are implemented (including talent & succession planning & and performance development)
    • Assist the Operations Manager with new business in responsible areas
    • Assist Customers with Component forecasting and Critical parts lists
    • Assist with AR per Customer
    • Ensure the relevant activities (sales) are executed to increase the aftermarket revenue and customer service
    • Ensure the parts backlog is shared with the customer and work together with PSSRs in decreasing the parts backlog
    • Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers, and facilitate organic growth
    • Responding to customer service issues promptly.
    • Creating effective customer service procedures, policies, and standards. (Ensure approval from Sandvik legal team)
    • Developing customer satisfaction goals and coordinating with the team to meet expectations and agreements on a steady basis.
    • Take ownership of customers’ issues and follow problems through to resolution
    • Keep accurate records and documentation of customer service actions and discussions
    • Analyse statistics and compile accurate reports
    • Keep ahead of the industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
    • Control resources and utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets
    • Adhere to and manage the approved budget
    • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.

    Requirements: 

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma/ Degree in Sales Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering
    • A minimum of 5 years Sales & Marketing Experience
    • Operational Experience will be advantageous
    • Advanced Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & PowerPoint

    Artisan - S2

    The Role 

    • Carry out maintenance, repairs and inspection activities on equipment, using diverse tools and techniques, with limited supervision. 

    Key Performance Areas 

    • Repair and replace parts, following instructions and technical equipment manuals. 
    • Interpret mechanical designs and maintenance manuals for assembling and dismantling to make necessary alignments and adjustments. 
    • Perform maintenance tasks independently, verify task results and track operating equipment to detect possible problems. 
    • Report and document executed work according to relevant procedures and work instructions. 
    • Explain operating procedures to the customer and refer to responsible/relevant person where required. 
    • Provide feedback to line manager/team leader with regards to equipment maintenance and service challenges. 
    • Prepare and execute all activities in line with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing anomalies with others.

    Profile Required 

    • Grade 12/equivalent qualification 
    • Trade Certificate – Fitter, Millwright, Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Mechanic (accompanied by apprenticeship contract or apprenticeship portfolio of evidence) 
    • 2 - 3 years experience  in maintenance of earthmoving equipment in a mining/construction environment 
    • 2 -3 years  mechanized mining experience  in underground or surface mining environment 
    • Physical and medical ability to work in a mining environment 
    • Basic computer literacy 
    • English proficiency 
    • Valid driver’s license

    Your Profile

    • Grade 12/ N3 technical/ equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4)
    • Relevant post-Matric qualification will be advantageous
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • English proficiency
    • 2 years’ experience in office administration
    • Must be able to work under pressure
    • Aurora experience will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of Ground Engaging Tools will be advantageous
    • Physical and medical ability to function in a mining environment
    • Willingness to travel and work overtime when required

    Parts Sales & Service Representative (PSSR)

    • We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our team as our Parts Sales & Service Representative
    • The role will report into the Aftermarket Manager.  The role will be based from our offices in Kempton Park, Spartan, Johannesburg.

    Purpose of the role:

    • Represent the Screening Solutions product lines in your defined area of responsibility (area and/or customer defined), through managing and supporting the customers in regard for aftermarket sales and service and exploring new business opportunities (replacement or new equipment opportunities).  

    The job responsibilities:

    • Support and execute the Screening Solutions action plan to grow profitable sales across the offering portfolio (aftermarket and identifying new and replacement equipment opportunities)
    • Build awareness of the Sandvik brand and Screening Solutions product offering in your assigned region. Engage with key stakeholders and gain a strong understanding of local business environments and market trends.
    • Learn how to perform fleet (Installed Base) analysis with guidance from production specialist and regional team to help identify opportunities for parts and service sales including refurbishments (new equipment opportunities) while keeping fleet information up to date.
    • Develop trusted relationships with customers. Learn how to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that maximize value.
    • Communicate clearly and confidently with a wide variety of audiences—dealers, customers, and internal teams—to gain alignment and support.
    • Work closely with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. Leverage your technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities to strengthen partnerships.
    • Take part in ongoing training opportunities with Sandvik experts and actively develop your skills in both technical knowledge and customer engagement.
    • Collaboration with service teams to ensure provision of services
    • Working with Regional team to provide supply contracts, recommend spare parts, proposals
    • Ensuring opportunities are maintained and managed in CRM
    • Ensuring customer visit reports are logged in CRM
    • Draft and present contract agreements for parts and service offerings.
    • Where warranty matters arise ensuring customer engagement proactively managed

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Minimum National Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering or a related field or similar equivalent qualification.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a sales environment preferably from mining or engineering 
    • 2-3 years of experience with OEM equipment in Minerals Processing

    Other Requirements & Competencies

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Confident presenter with solid written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus.
    • Highly organized, motivated, and eager to learn, with a problem-solving mindset.
    • Medically fit for mine sites
    • Willingness and ability to frequently travel and visit customers.
