    Learner: Helpdesk Support Administrator

    Who are we?

    Sanlam Developing Markets [SDM] (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited) is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market.     What will you do?

    SA Retail Mass cluster offers a unique opportunity for young, enthusiastic and energetic persons from the designated groups to gain practical working experience in a corporate environment. The learnership programme is aimed at matriculants and offers:

    • A 12-month contract

    • A monthly stipend

    • On the job training and assessment

    • FETC Long Term Insurance Qualification

    • Continuous coaching and mentoring

    • Acquire knowledge of company products, services and operational processes and systems

    • Complete practical onsite training

    • Fill out logbooks for workplace-based learning

    • Pass and complete the required level in formative and summative assessments

    • Carry out tasks and duties as contracted with your manager

    Compliance Specialist - Monitoring

    Contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of Compliance Function

    • Monitoring and Reporting on the Sales Process

    • Conduct onsite and offiste compliance monitoring

    • Ensure remedial action is attended

    • Assist the compliance manager to ensure that compliance function are in compliance with law and industry and regulatory body requirements

    • Maintain efficient and effective operations in Compliance

    • Validate that policies and procedures with regards to Compliance Function are being adhered to. (TCF)

    • Assist with the debarment processes being adhered to within the Group

    • Provide guidance to junior compliance monitoring officers and prepare regulatory compliance reports

    • Compliance consulting / advice to distribution / implementation support 

    • Design and implement policies and procedures / manuals to ensure compliance

    Provide Training and Awareness on Compliance Matters

    • Perform compliance audits in relation business unit

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • LLB, Admitted Attorney

    • A completed compliance / audit qualification would be a distinct advantage.

    • At least three years’ experience in a compliance role, preferably in the financial services industry.

    Team Leader: Indexing

    The overall purpose of the role

    Manage and oversee a group of Indexers. The role will involve monitoring and facilitating the daily operational activities of your team, work and volume management, ensuring that work is complete within SLA and that client queries are handled efficiently and effectively. Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to ensure excellent client service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Verification of documentation received and assessment thereof
    • Accurate indexing of incoming documents within the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
    • Initiates a workflow process
    • Allocates/routes to the correct department
    • Investigates anomalies/deviations/queries
    • Reallocate workflow/documents/emails when needed
    • Report and log all system issues pertaining to workflow with IT department according to correct procedures
    • Monitor availability of staff

    Key Responsibilities (continues)

    • Give input to improvement of processes
    • Handle customer complaints related to scanning and indexing
    • Resolve exceptions and error queue.
    • Prepare production reports for management
    • Verify if service level agreements are complied with.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
