- Sanlam Corporate Cluster comprises of the two existing businesses - Sanlam Employee Benefits (SEB) and Sanlam Health Management (SHM) and the soon to be established Sanlam Corporate Solutions. SEB CORE specializes in retirement fund administration to institutional retirement funds spread over a number of industries and services from large single employer run stand-alone funds to multi-employer umbrella funds. This business unit is also responsible for ongoing client servicing ranging from board of Trustees, Employers, Intermediaries and Employees. It is also responsible for the IT deliverables and digital strategy for Sanlam Employee Benefits.

What will you do?
- Under general supervision, performs assignments of actuarial-related duties such as preparing, performing and analysing actuarial research and audits. Other duties include collecting data from various databases and performing standard mathematical calculations.
Support actuarial operations by performing actuarial calculations and valuations. Key performance areas are:
- To manage a portfolio of clients by managing activities per service level agreement, schedule and requested tasks
- To deliver contracted services ensuring quantity, quality and turnaround times are met:
- Perform defined contribution (DC) valuations, prepare valuation reports and presentations
- Perform IAS19 valuations
- Perform individual, interest and ad hoc actuarial calculations
- Prepare FSCA query response letters
- Complete Section 14 certificates
- Replacement ratio calculations

Qualification & Experience
- Relevant Bachelor degree
- Progress with Actuarial exams: 4 exemptions or passes
- 2 years relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits and wider financial services industry and process would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

We are looking for candidates with leadership potential, seeking experience and mentorship from established individuals in the Financial Services Industry.
The programme is structured over a 12 month period and will guide the candidate through a process of training, mentorship, on- the- job coaching, functional assignments and focused business exposure within a dynamic and fast paced environment in order to groom and prepare the candidate for success.

Qualification & Experience
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- A valid driver’s license is a requirement for this position
- Fluent in English
- Commerce or Legal degree is a prerequisite
- Previous business experience in the industry, preferably within the distribution environment
- Previous management experience within the industry and/or a leadership qualification (e.g. MBA, Management diploma, etc.) can be an added advantage, but is not a pre-requisite (should you have previous industry related experience, you must meet FAIS requirements)
